I can buy my data package before leaving home and connect several devices with my duo turbo. I don't need to buy a local SIM card (although that's an option) and I can text and wifi call people back home. A little more expensive than a local sim, but the convenience and ease of use more than makes up for the price difference.

I tried it again and bought 10gb of data, only 1 device connected, and data protection has been on since I bought it. I shut the glocal me device off with only 220mb being used, computer shut off as well. I haven't even turned it on in 3 weeks, and I just did today, and the device says only 1.2 gb of data left!!!!!huhhh, that is 100% throttling data, I literally lost more data when the device was off then on. I confirmed several times that nothing else was connected with data protection on.FRAUD

The concept is good but it definitely needs improvement. They never sell e-sim anymore so you can only buy the wifi plans. The internet is never fast enough (not even when using 5G) and you can not download or update any apps with these wifi plans, which is a necessity if you are in another country. I literally have to look for free wifi everywhere just to download or update a few apps that I really need during my trip. Apart from that, it stops working in crowded places like disney.

VIP membership now worthless. GlocalMe App Stopped working on two mobile devices after Dec 2024 update. Lost several thousand points that could not be converted that were due to expire. Cannot add package to two (2) U3 and a 5g Numen since app will not load. PlayStore confirms phone is supported. Phone has several gig of internal storage. This is Unacceptable. Cannot use app to chat with support so the devices are worthless. Maybe another choice of mobile hotSpot devices would be better?

I love the service, but wish I could get a yearly plan at 3GB per month, since I only need to use it occasionally, in certain signal sparse areas. My last 30 day plan, I only used 2 out of 10GB... I could use a 90 day 10GB plan in US.

Recently acquired a GlobalMe travel internet unit and couldn't be more pleased. It's connectivity and continuous stability in about any situation where connectivity is absolutely necessary, GlobalMe is unsurpassed.

What I don't like is that when I went through India and then visited Nepal, instead of my Glocalme using the specific plans that I purchased for that area automatically, it was using my 1 GB global data. When I found this out, I changed the setting so I would still have some global data left, but by then I had used some of the 1 GB that I wouldn't have used if I had known it wouldn't switch to my area plans automatically.

Love this APP with my little hotspot. Ease of use is tops for me. Select, purchase a data package, and when in the desired country, just fire up and connect. The rest is automatic.
