Something is seriously wrong with either the app or the data being supplied by the DWD. Thunderstorm warning last night around 20:00, fair enough. Then a seemingly endless series of notifications afterwards, hours later e.g. at 3 and 9 this morning, when there is not a cloud in the sky. Selecting any notification, immediately after receiving it, results in the singularity useless message "this alert is no longer valid ..." So the end result is that a lot of users will just uninstall. Like me.

Problem: Today, on 10 Sep 2020, when there should have been nationwide alert messages issued at app. 11 am for a nationwide system test, the app remained completely silent. No notification, nothing. Why? Ah well.. at least the local city sirens worked. In general, I do love this app though. So far, over the past 3 months, it has accurately warned me several times about local issues in Ingolstadt (bomb found during construction work, heavy thunderstorms etc).

Feature request : please enable selection and copying of text content from the app (UI is in English which is great but content is not). Since I do not understand German fully, I would like to copy the German text shown on the app into the translator app. This is a must, otherwise this app is not really useful for someone with language barrier.

Not directly useful for tourists that don't know Deutsch. 🤷♂️ Some parts are translated, but VERY little, not even alert types. You'd think they would just throw it through an auto translator, but you have to do it yourself with a trick. You can't copy and paste in the app, so you have to do it while on the recent apps page.

Overall functionality is ok, not great. This app actively complains (in notifications) about not getting phone position in background. On the other side, one is asked to setup geographical warning areas. So why having GPS access compulsory? It's my phone, my privacy settings. Apps, like this one, with a problem on that, are uninstalled.

I cannot register this app on my Google Pixel 7a phone. I already contacted many times the support at the email address provided by the app and haven't got any reply (it's been 2 months now). And yes, I wrote them in German to avoid, let's say, further issues.

Useful and modern app. It shows current warnings for the area I am living in. It works flawlessly on Android 10 and complements the services supplied by the corona app. The only criticism I see right now is the lack of supported languages. I think an English version should at least be supplied. Other languages could be added by volunters i.e. open source or via a "donate a translation" button in the app.

Totally useless, it consistently warns of a whole bunch of nothing. "heavy rain" -> a few drops "heavy thunderstorms" -> distant lightening I uninstalled it after 2 months of constantly worrying for no reason at all.
