When it's working like it's supposed to, it works really well--my only reason for 2 stars is it keeps signing you out, crashing, and sometimes deletes conversations temporarily (then they reappear) and occasionally will erase a message I send. Sometimes it also errors when you go back into a conversation, and it just shows a blank screen. It's just really frustrating how glitchy it is. I've tried reinstalling it multiple times. I'd change this to 5 stars if they'd fix these glitches.

So far: The only good thing here is seeing Christian singles. Upward is not good at matching your filters. Ads are force-fed to you at such a high frequency that you feel obligated to either delete the app or purchase a subscription. There is a charge for EVERYTHING. Too many fake / incomplete / unverified profiles. Other profiles mention not being able to see your likes, so you have to either "super-like" them (there's a charge for that). Might post an update if I continue using the app.

Not free at all! I'm a new user on the app. I keep getting notifications that I've matched with people. But when I go to the messages section, the profile pic is blurred out and even though we've matched I keep getting a paywall to upgrade to elite(which is very expensive )when I click the match to begin messaging. What the heck? I thought it was free to message matches? Waste of time!

The app is alright for what it is but suffers from poor communication from the developer. The replies to bad reviews say to contact support however support appears to be very backed up and if you don't include key information that can identify your account it will delay the process if you get any replies to being with. 10/02 - 10/26 2024 The app had a bug that would prevent messaging from working after a period of time but appears to have been fixed. This issue didn't affect iPhone users.

This app has a lot of room for improvement. It is aggravating when you're talking to a "match" for a few minutes, and the conversation will be going great, then the next minute. The chat and the match you're chatting with will disappear(this has happened at least four times). Then you get notifications about messages, and then there aren't any messages. Also, you can't send pictures in the chats.

Waste of time and money! -Distance! You set your parameters up to a max of 60 miles or its the USA. I have mine on 60. But 90% of my matches are between 200-500 miles away. -Getting the same people you already swiped left on again and again. -Limited preference search. You can only pick 3. Even if you pay for a subscription, it still only allows 3. -No anonymity. You can buy to see who likes them. I've had men message me just to say I was too far away. -Limited space to write on profile.

Not a bad experience but could be improved. I wish they respected the distance restrictions, I set mine to 75 miles MAX and I keep swiping through people that are even 400miles away. Second the adds are terrible, it's not like a simple "declined" as soon as an add pops up it completely forces it to cover your entire screen. I just log out of the app every 5 swipes. It's sooo bad.

Ever since they updated the app a few days ago, I could not access the chats with two matches when we were about to schedule meet-ups. Whenever I try to go into the chat, it either clashes or gets redirected to the app home screen. I cleared the cache, which didn't work. I un-installed and reinstalled the app. Now I cannot log in. It keeps saying I need to update to the latest version while my app is the latest version...
