The app works as intended, but could be better. - I do not see what the point of "scene" is, as it behaves like "schedule" with extra steps. - The app is missing a feature that would be nice to have. which is the ability to change hange icons of switches to indicate what they're powering. Like a fan icon for a fan, or a lamp icon for a lamp. - The app should let us choose a default of "all devices", "favorites" and "areas"

Bought three switches. Downloaded the Brightlayer app. dragged my cranial wadding through the process of adding the three switches to the app so they may be turned on at an appropriate time each day. They performed nearly flawlessly for about a week. Then the switches could not be found, did not operate according to the set time. I reassigned one particular switch several times and it would never work correctly. I finally deleted the app to start over. Now I can't even. I am sooo frustrated.

Won't pair with Alexa. Not sure if it is Brightlayer's fault or Alexa's fault. I may give a better review if it turns out to be Alexa's fault. Also, after installing the app and failing to enable Alexa, I came back a week later to find the app and try again. I couldn't locate the app!! Turns out that instead of calling it Brightlayer Home like it is named in the App Store, you call it "BL Home" when installed on my phone. Who does stupid things like that? Have a consistent naming convention!!

If you have a highly secure wifi password (>24 characters), the app does not allow you to connect to your network.

Works great, always make sure to have updated app and firmware of devices updated.

The switches are nice. But the app is horrible. They need to make a Matter or Home Assistant integration and leave it at that.

This app is complete junk. It refuses to start reporting it has a "problem getting the list of home list". Clearing data, cache, restarting phone, uninstalling and reinstalling app do not change this. Yet Google home is quite happy to control the Eaton dimmer. So there's nothing wrong with my phone, network or the dimmer. Suggest you buy a different brand.

Brightlayer was working fine since April, until dimmer switch started to be listed as "unresponsive" on the app. Like another review stated, manually adjusting the dimmer switch would update the status on the app. After a reinstall the app can't connect to, or create a new home now. (Brightlayer is working as normal now)
