The game was progressing nicely until ads started popping up the moment you pressed "collect" to collect crafted materials. At first, when it happened, I thought it was because I must have accidentally clicked something, so I restarted the game only to realize that was the intended feature. After an x amount of time you collect from the craft building, you start to get ads. So this game goes to the trash for me.

I'm enjoying the game so far. I've played the other ones so the short tutorial didn't bother me. I think you should rework the ads though. Instead of ads appearing every time you craft something, you should have the option to speed up the crafting by watching an ad. You could also give 500 or 1000 tech points or 5 gemstones when watching ads so that they seem worth it. I don't have much reason to watch the ad if all I get 100 tech points. That doesn't help me at all.

I really enjoy the concept of the game, completing puzzles whilst making your village thrive. I do however think tech points are far to high to work for and save as every villager needs to reaserch so I can't enjoy when they go off to do other things as I'm waiting for tech points for the next puzzle. 80,000 to 200,000 to 500,000 is such big jumps you can't complete anything else until you get the next upgrade. Still great concept lovely to look at and play and has me playing everyday

I'm irritated because I just completed the statue puzzle, and my game conveniently froze up as I went to collect the lava stones from completing it. There was nothing I could do to unfreeze it besides exit out of the game entirely. When I returned, I had significantly less tech points, the spirituality tech I had unlocked earlier was back to being locked, and now I'm being forced to redo the statue puzzle after having done so already. Way too many major glitches.

Kinda dumb that sometimes I'll leave the game alone for a day then I come back to it, and it's like I never left the game. No more research done or construction. Makes it even harder to play the game considering you need tech points for everything, yet I can't get tech points because it doesn't register that I haven't been on the game in 20 hours. Edit: Now it's like I can't get anything done. Almost every time I log in they have done absolutely nothing this game is a waste of your time.

This game is frustrating. It's waiting for your Scientists to generate enough tech points to reach the next puzzle. I have LOVED Virtual Villagers since I was first able to play it years ago, but this "new" game is disappointing. The hints don't help you understand if more technology (tech points) are needed or if the Villager skill needs to be higher, and how Exploring factors in to the many caves and temples on the map. It's a P2P if you don't want to wait a month for a puzzle. Not worth it.

Originally, I gave this game 5 stars on day 1. Day 2, I am giving it 2 stars and deleting it. There are too many ads, and it looks like a shorter game. Plus, the earthquakes get old because they are way too frequent. The ads were optional, and I watched over 40 volunteerally yesterday. Today, I have ads forced on my every time I try to collect a crafted item. Greed will be the end of this company. One more thing, sometimes it's hard to select/move your characters.

I've played Virtual Villagers since the original. I do like this version, but I dislike the trend in general of games becoming more and more about money from microtransactions. I'd rather pay for the game itself than pay for lots of little upgrades. And you can tell the game is built to want you to pay extra. For example, in previous games, if you set villagers to researcher they would research! In this game, they frequently walk away from the table, to get you to spend money on tech points.
