Whether I put my physical address or use my precise location, the app tells me that I am not in the U.S. So, did Greenland or Canada purchase the United States already, and the news not report it, or is the app just messed up? I used to like the app, and I have used it in numerous locations across the United States, but not any more. Update: Unistalled, reloaded, and does not give the channels it used to. Upgraded from one star to two. Other apps give me more stations.

Worked in TV engineering for 35 years. This app has what you need to basically aim a directional or dipole antenna at the transmission towers. Out of the few apps on Google Play, this is the only one I found that accurately shows your position in relation to the transmission towers (set permissions!). Other apps do not properly read the GPS compass data from your phone. Just set the phone on top of the antenna, aim. Simple as that. Watch the beam go from red to green. Couldn't be more simple.

Limited, but all right for what it is. It works once you give it location permissions. The interface looks outdated and it would be nice to have a list of stations and their compass direction versus the map and pointing your phone toward things. Overall, the FCC antenna location website is more of what I'm looking for, so I'll just use that and uninstall this app. Also, the Terk Signal Finder app is nearly identical to the RCA one, so take your pick.

I don't understand the poor reviews this app has received. The hardest part was finding the model of the RCA anntena as it was not clearly marked on the box or anntena, it was on the bag of supplies with the anntena. The app worked perfectly (if you can follow simple directions). The anntena was easy to tune right in, took less than 10 minutes from box to install, tuned and working.

This app works great for what it is, which is just a GPS based directional indicator. It uses your location (or the address you provide) and the location of the local TV station antennas in it's database to turn your phone into a digital compass. By rotating your phone, it shows you what direction to aim your antenna to (theoretically) get the strongest signal reception. It gives you a reasonable starting point. What it does NOT do is give you a true signal strength at your actual location.

So, the app does what it says, but it only shows me the direction of the nearest tower. It's within 10 miles. I was hoping to find other towers within the 60 miles the box states the antenna can receive signals from so I could adjust the antenna to better receive other (non-duplicate) channels that go in and out. But no luck, the app doesn't show those antenna locations. :(

It showed magnetic North, and it showed local tv stations out to 70/80 miles, plus showed good/bad signal when I oriented it. I had no problem with it rotating and orienting on the direction I turned. If you don't pay attention to where it shows North, you WILL be confused by where it shows the signal. Luckily I know how to read a map, and it shows city names!

This app is completely worthless. Yes it will show you a list of the nearest towers BUT when you try to "pan" your phone in order to find the strongest signal, nothing happens. Downloading and installing it was not only a waste of time but an absolute waste of data. Shame on you RCA for even suggesting this app and SHAME ON ME for actually believing that it would work.
