Defaults to putting ads in your notification area. Telling me I can turn off the ads if I want is not a solution. No app should ever create notifications for ads, surveys, or any other thing that mainly benefits the app maker without asking for explicit permission first. As for the ride experience, every time except once that I've tried to request a car it is 60-80% more expensive than Lyft/Uber and had a wait time of 15-30 minutes. Took me a couple of years to find a ride that made sense.

Waymo is a driverless Jaguar sedan in some major cities that you pay for your trip via the app. Our first ride was San Francisco, today in Phoenix. It is a fun, stress-free means of getting around. It's best to have a known destination instead of searching for a place to go if you are in an unfamiliar location. If you see one, try it. You won't be disappointed. You can check it out on the website or Waymo app.

I prefer to ride with WAYMO, when the pricing is reasonable. Which only happens occasionally now. When I first started using the WAYMO App, two years ago when I first moved to Tempe AZ, Uber hadn't bought it yet and the ride costs were pretty low. Also, there were a lot of price specials on rides as they expanded the rideshare territories. I still prefer a driverless experience however. Especially when I have to be at work before dawn. Not too many drivers out and about and then.

DANGEROUS! I tried this for the first time. The trunk got jammed. We had to wait for 25 min in the car as hostages. Then they disabled the vehicle, and it was unable to be used anymore. They told us to exit without luggage since it was an airport ride. It was driving very fast, did not give a signal, and almost caused a crash! Avoid. It's not safe or rider friendly.

welcome to the new world! driverless taxis. decided to try the experience and it was really very good. the cars are very nice. it seems like the trips can be a little bit longer cuz I don't think they can always use the shortest routes but it was very comfortable and I was not in a hurry. it added maybe 6-7 minutes to the drive but it was worth it

Took a little to figure out how to get more exact pickup and drop-off locations. But other than that was the best pay-to ride service out there. By alot. By a ridiculous amount. Drive was smooth, worry free, and comfortable. But most of all, because every car and driver is the same, Waymo is consistent unlike other rideshare apps.

Pretty amazing! The ride was smooth and I felt safe. If you look at the screen, you can see what the car is "thinking" and how it's plotting its path and course of action. You really can't comprehend the concept of a "self driving" car until you actually experience it. Even then, when you are sitting in the car watching the steering wheel turn itself, it's still almost inconceivable! Can't wait to see how this technology progresses.

Just had my first ride with Waymo One, and I’m blown away! The smooth, driverless ride was comfortable from start to finish, and I never felt uneasy. The Waymo app? Seamless. It shows pick-up points, wait times, and even lets you unlock the car when it arrives—super slick. I’m so impressed I even checked if Waymo was making money so this service sticks around forever. Seriously, you’ve won me for life. Now if only you could drive me everywhere... but world domination takes time!
