I have been using this app for a few years now. It notifies me a reminder every week at 6pm the night before pickup and says what will be picked up the following day. It's great for around holidays when pickup days sometimes change from the norm and also helps with specially pickups such as battery collection, Christmas tree collection etc.

It's been a few years that I use this app and I see it as a handy but effective app. In most cases all I need to do is to read the reminder to know what is being collected this week (and thanks for decluttering the reminder text!). I also used it a few times to communicate with waste management and send pictures, like when my bin was mishandled. Great thing is that they are responsive! The only improvement would be to get reminders for events like those one day damaged bin replacement set ups.

I really like this app!!! I have a terrible memory and I have it set for reminders for the night before pick up so I can put it out.. and the search part is great if things are not listed as to what can go where and you can find out where to put what ever u type in!!! also if u can't find what ur looking for to know where to put it and it's not listed you have the option to send that item u looked up and request that it gets put in the list of where that item should go! would be lost without it

UPDATE: This app has been great App is still great but latest update removed the waste collection calendar so now I need to go on the web to view it. I don't look at it often but try to plan ahead when I know a holiday is coming up that will change the schedule in case I'm not home. Plus the latest update disabled notifications, I didn't receive app or text notifications this week. I re-enabled app notifications so not such a big deal, but ideally the update would retain this setting.

It's great. Very helpful in remembering what to put out and when. Only thing it's missing is when there is a holiday and pickup is delayed, it should still send the reminder notification the day before but have it state that the pick up is delayed due to the holiday and not to put your waste out until the correct day...that way people don't put it out a day early and have it sit out for a long time potentially making a mess due to weather or animals.

Originally review in 2020 but now have 2022 update: still handy but the alerts now have so much text, I can't easily see if it's garbage, green, and blue day or just green and blue. Just list garbage, green, blue, then put the info in below that please. Update Nov/22: issue fixed! Thanks a bunch. :)

Good initiative by durham region to have an app for residents to provide info on soting the items and reminders about collection. Sometimes there are ambiguitues on rare items for which bin it has to go. I hope one day the whole packaging industry progresses by offering barcode scaning on mobile app which then tells which bin the item has to go.

Easy to use and helpful to know the waste collection schedule and get reminders before the day comes. Also like the option of being able to schedule bulk garbage items for curbside pickup. The search function is also good for easy sorting of what goes where.
