I have had it installed for several years. Around 8tb. Now my hard drives had to be replaced and fing that the download to my computer is very limited. Instead of just replacing all my files in a download my computer tech says it could take 400+ downloads 😞 that ain't good. I hope there is a workaround. Who do I call to fix this? Well it is going on 2 months downloading and not at 50% yet :( this is terrible. This is high speed internet, at the repair shop It is now October 4th. It is at 70% :

Each update for me gives the app a new way of not working. At least I can sign in now without it crashing, but then I tried to view an image file from my backup and the app crashed. Now, because I changed the login to use biometrics, I can't get in... I use my finger print, then the app just shows me the four intro screens that I can swipe between. But there are zero buttons or ways to interact with it beyond that, so I can't actually get into the app at all. Is any of this being tested..?

Works for me. I read the reviews that said you couldn't connect to the server. I installed the app anyway, logged in, and tapped on the name of my computer. Sure enough, i got the dreaded "can't connect to server". I tried a couple of times, gave up and set my phone down. When I came back, I was connected. I was able to view a text file and a proprietary format music file.

Ignore the low score - Carbonite pulled this app altogether for a couple of years because of bugs and issues (which I also experienced). They have just relaunched the app and this time it worked fine for me (so far) - no connection issues and I could access all files easily. It's a great product when working, glad they got it sorted.

Terrible!!!! Do not buy. After 10 years of purchasing this service, my files were deleted after my credit card was compromised and my auto renew failed. I was not receiving notifications from Carbonite that my account would be deleted. It took me about 45 days to realize my service had been interrupted. My family photos and videos were deleted 15 days earlier.... What a way to say "thanks" to a 10 year customer! I will never send another dime to Carbonite or their partners.

Laziness can only keep me for so long. I've been paying for Carbonite for years. It was previously a great product. However, every few months, something new seems to happen to make me like it less and less. I just tried accessing something from the mobile app and I got a message saying the application cannot be installed on rooted devices. One problem... My phone hasn't been rooted. I restarted my phone but still can't log in. I don't see myself renewing at the end of this term.

[UPDATE 10/21/22] It looks like they're supporting this app after 3+ yrs?! Fingers crossed for it staying functional... [ORIGINAL REVIEW 9/15/19] Used to be a great app, but now it just says "network not available" when I try to access my files from my phone. It's been like this for months despite numerous attempts uninstall/reinstall, update, etc. Kind of defeats the purpose of paying for the service at all...will be looking into other backup systems when my renewal comes up in a couple months

App was iffy at best 2-3 years ago. Now that mobile devices aren't backed up what am I paying for? Every file I have to access from a laptop or desktop because the app wont load on my phone. Just keeps saying account authentification failed. The charge to my credit card did not fail though. Irritated. Uninstalled will use GoogleDocs, OneDrive and DropBox. Thank God for options.
