I have a brand new GTS 5 Black. The app works initially, but after closing the app and shutting off the vehicle for a period of time, the app fails to pair with the Racechip. It hangs on "connecting". The only workaround is to clear the app data and re-pair the Racechip. It's super annoying and not worth the $44 add-on price that I paid. Please fix the app for better reliability!

The chip isn't worth the money, compared to a remap of the engine, which also is less likely to put stress on the engine/turbo as it is only actually connected at the head block and the TPS so there isn't "much" being changed to notice. I have changed my driving style and MPG went up. I sent mine back and got a full refund via eBay - it didnt perform as discribed, just doesn't deliver. App when connected was a brilliant interface and responsive quick change of mode.

installed the chip on to the engine, tried to connect to bluetooth failed multiple times until decided to check chip itself, the reason for not connecting was the serial on the manual and the serial on the chip were not matching, after trying a serial from the chip i got connected. app is straight forward, lacks info in "Fine Tune" section still hunting the differences in numbers, at the moment race is on 4 sport is on 3 and eco is on 2. fast connection after first pair.

Poor integration, connection issues and bugs in the software. Initially when setting up a Bluetooth connection the app prompts you to enter in the Bluetooth code, if you move away from the screen it dissappears and doesn't reappear. If you remove any registered devices the app still thinks you have a device linked so to restart from scratch is impossible. The learning curve model comes up with a constant error and without this registering you have no access to other features. Useless app.

The app does what it's supposed to do, albeit sometimes it's a little bit slow. Since it's an app to control a car product, it should be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lack of this compatibility is a huge minus, especially considering how much the Bluetooth/app control costs as an option for some RaceChip products ( i.e. RaceChip RS).

App does not like dark mode on your phone, when it's set to that the fine tuning selections don't work. It's also hit and miss with pairing it initially, which is hard to diagnose. I would like to see the feature for this to work with Android Auto so that we can access it without touching your phone (illegal in some places). Also, what each tune is doing e.g. a dyno map would help to work out what changes are really making.

Does exactly what they say! Any problems, you MUST contact support. They can send updates via the app to fix your exact problem. Tested on 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo. I fine tuned the settings from 0 (off) to 7 (Balls out Race... set your car to Sport+). I'm happy with this "piggyback" system. Seriously plug and play. No separate electrical connections. Two plugs. Well done RaceChip!

I had previously installed the Racechip+ app on my phone, about a year ago. I haven't had any issues opening the app however as of recent I cannot open the app. I click on the app and it immediately closes a second later, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still having the same problem. Tried downloading previous version which opens but when entering my serial number, it notes that the app is not supported with version of chip, it recommends downloading the race chip+ app?
