GMW-B5000GD-1ER functions great with this app. The app does what it's supposed to and it's a joy to set up the watch. The only slightly bothering thing is the notification that's still left on the notification bar after sync. That's easy to hide though. I would like to have notifications/reminders from other apps in the watch too like Google Calendar birthdays, meetings etc. The app is a must have for the all metal square. Love the watch and the new connectivity!

For some reason i can't get the app to pair with my GSHOCK to sync the time. I tried everything. Never had an issue with the iPhone version of the app. There is a message in the app that says support ended in July 2023, so Idk if that's the reason for the issue. It shouldn't be bc I was still able to use the iPhone version of the app just fine. Anyway I downloaded the newer Casio app but now they want me to create an account, just to sync the time! Screw off.

No step backup feature. Purchased 2 GBD-800 series watches because of the step count feature. Great watches. Disappointing app. No way to keep historical data of steps. If you reset the phone or reinstall the app, all your data is gone. There has to be a data backup to phone feature like most apps have. It is a real pity, because the app is the weak point in the whole system. I like to keep historical step counts like Fitbit or Garmin. Come on Casio, you can do it. Add these features.

The app does not offer much more than the watch on its own. But time adjustment only works via the app. So you have to use the app and keep Bluetooth on, both depleting your phone and watch battery. My watch has a radio receiver, which is the superior method of keeping time correct. But I can only trigger this manually, making this watch worse than my old one without Bluetooth. My recommendation, don't spent additional money on a Bluetooth watch and don't use this app.

Terrible watch, costly but extremely cheap in quality. Water seeps in and it forms fog on the inside. I've had the exact same problem TWICE. The only activity that could have caused this was simply taking a shower. I didn't dive, swim, or do anything that could've put some strain on this supposedly heavy-duty watch. I used my warranty and, when I got it back, it seemed to function for a few months, but now I'm back to square one. Needless to say, I will never ever buy another Casio product.

This app forces you to keep animations enabled just to display its loading screen. I usually disable animations in my phone’s developer settings because they make everything feel sluggish. I spent £450 on my metal G-Shock, but I can't even use the app without being forced to watch a slow, outdated, PlayStation 1-style loading animation—and without making the rest of my phone feel slower.

UPDATE: With the more recent versions of Android (after about 11), this app is now very unstable & barely functional for automatic time-keeping. When running in the background, it crashes frequently, meaning the watch can't connect automatically to update time. One can restart the app and update time manually, but this defeats a primary reason to have the app in the 1st place. ORIGINAL: Pretty stable & does everything you need. Pushing changes to the watch over BT could be faster, but it works.

Able to synchronize all my bluetooth squares one by one every two minutes. Even will try synchronize them if they out of normal synchronize times... But, casio should use this app to synchronize analog style g-shock and baby G instead of having three different apps to do it。。。♡ --------------------------------------- Work much less reliable since upgraded to Andriod 13, great hardwares but software really bad...
