Initially had problems dropping bluetooth connection, but that was mostly because the dealers install it under the cowl instead of at the helm. The electrical interference from the coil and other electronics can disrupt the connection. I moved mine to under the helm and haven't had it drop connection since. The app could be a little more user friendly, it would be nice if you could customize the initial screen to show the data you want instead of having to tap and go to another screen.

I've been using the app for about two years now and haven't had any issues. Works great and love seeing all my boat sensors and diagnostics. I would love for there to be an option to add the Time to the display of sensors. I find myself covering the phone and squinting to see the small time clock in the top of the phone while the App is open and running.

Wow, this is such a mixed bag. The app is great, showing everything I need without spending a fortune. But I can't get it to display in landscape mode. Online comments indicate it works for that in version 1.9, but I have version 1.13 and it doesn't appear to work. The Play store doesn't display the version, but I reinstalled and got the same version. The Play store should display the version! I would also like to see the gauges displayed in analog fashion.

Initially I had difficulty getting the unit connected to the app. Discovered that you should NOT go into bluetooth settings on your device to pair. Doing this prevents the app to connect. I found this in the FAQ's on the Mercury web site. If the instructions were made more clear it would have saved a lot of time and frustration. To pair you just install the unit and open the app. Mine connected.

App has worked great for the past 3 years, but with the recent update Facbook login is no longer supported and I've lost all my maintenance records. Hopefully, Mercury is working on a bug fix, and I can get back into my account later on. I hate the fact your data is tied to an account and not to the module.

When I first got the app a couple years ago it listed part numbers for various items (oil filter, plugs, oil weight, etc) but now the maintenance parts page just has a pdf emblem that doesn't open anything. Initially that was one of the things I really liked about the app, but it is becoming less useful! Kind of wishing I hadn't spent the money on the module now!

READ UPDATE AT THE END ++Was working great until 1/7/2020,,,now just says (Vessel View has stopped) when you start the app....Talked to a couple people who have it and they state theirs has also stopped. I have version 1.9.2.3a on another device that is not connect to internet,, still working properly. version 1.10 dead on arrival/update.. ****************************************************************************************************UPDATE!!! found that the app had installed on the SD memory card of the phone,,, moved the app to the internal phone memory and App is now back to working...

I had some initial trouble with the VVM. With some great focused help from Merc tech support It was determined that the problem was from some wiring anomalies from Bayliner. It was very simple to correct the problem. Having real-time info on engine status oil pressure water temperature actual fuel consumption accurate hours is amazing. Unusual to have this kind of information available on a small vessel. Tech support was out standing. VVM is must have.
