Good camera system but shockingly bad app. Very hit and miss on connectivity and takes several minutes to connect. I was hoping to be able to connect from the comfort of my living room. Dream on! The help desk "support" is pathetic and one of the worst examples of customers service ever. You have to contact them via the web and after a few hours, they'll deign to send you a link to the manual which I already have. I could rant on this one for hours.

Terrible Connectivity Issues The Nextbase app is practically unusable. It doesn’t connect to WiFi at all, no matter what I try. Without a connection, I can’t access or upload any footage from my dashcam, which defeats the whole purpose of having the app. For such a well-known brand, this level of dysfunction is shocking. I expected a reliable companion app for my device, but instead, it’s a frustrating waste of time. Please fix these issues

The camera is a very well made piece of kit. Worst app I have ever used. Doesn't work as expected. I am using the latest version to date 13th march 24 and can't do anything with it. Takes too long to get the videos up and don't get me started on the download speeds. I'd rather watch paint dry! By the way Nextbase, I am using a Samsung S23 plus. Fix the app. The app is useless. Constantly get messages of "files are currently unavailable" when trying to download a file. Fix it please.

Connection to the app is useless. High speed WiFi connection takes over an hour to connect or doesn't connect at all. Trying to update to the latest version for the 522 GW. It's never going to happen. I've uninstalled the app, factory reset the dash cam. And still doesn't get a high speed WiFi connection. These issues have been going on for years. It's about time nextbase had it sorted. I was going to upgrade to the iq 2k. Don't think I'll bother. The app for that is probably just as useless.

The phone app is pretty much a non starter. As most of us already have our phones connected to our cars for hands free phone calls and music streaming it just isn't practical to disconnect to connect to your dashcam. As others have reported, if you do take the trouble to connect to your dashcam, it tends to be a very slow and clumsy experience. This isn't really the fault of Nextbase but rather that the files created by the camera are very large.Better to remove the SD card and view on a laptop

Just recently bought 2 x 622gw cameras, overall the camera seems well put together, good quality and does what it says. However the app on the other hand is useless. Just isn't fit for purpose, never connects to the camera, when you try to connect it turns the radio off if you have android auto running at same time, just dosnt seem compatible with android at all. Shame coming from a well-known brand like this. Please get your app sorted ASAP.

Absolutely awful app. Establishing a connection with the camera is almost impossible. When I actually needed it, it took 1.5 hours to get it to connect and download the video. Added to that, it drains the phone battery like nobody's business. It needs to be allowed to run in the background to have any chance of getting it connected to the camera, but then it uses the most battery of any app on my phone, even though you generally never ever open it.
