I almost never pay to upgrade apps. My young child wanted to see planets not shown on the free version. Plus, I have a severe lack of navigation, so the background of my surroundings really helps to eliminate questions. After a few prompts to upgrade for $2, I gave it a try. We're really enjoying it, and I was pleasantly surprised by the difference. This is one upgrade I haven't regretted.

No good one S24 phone, did love this app, but my new phone is not compatible, I have uninstall and reinstall and spoke to the technician at the shop all a waste of time, my mates new apple has the same problem, not sure if they have stopped updating or what, but have moved on to another app now. Thank you for past experience with your app. Bye.

I have used this app for YEARS and absolutely loved it! And have recommend it to dozens of people who also love it! However, I recently got a new phone, just an upgrade to what I already had, and now this app won't work 😟 I get a black screen, I can't see anything. I un-installed, re installed twice, and i even upgraded to the paid version and it's still a black screen. I super duper disappointed 😞

Basically point and shoot. Everywhere you look your screen will be filled with everything you can think of. Planets, stars, constellations, satellites, space junk, paths, and tons more. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to learn, just look around! I've been using SkyView for years! A one time upgrade fee of $2 is well worth every penny for what you get. Planetarium experience in your pocket. May I also say that the background music is intoxicatingly beautiful!

I don't recommend the app for Android / Samsung devices. I’ve been using the app for years across multiple devices, and I really love it. However, on my Samsung S24+ phone instead of stars and planets you see dark gray opaque squares, along with a rectangle in the center of the screen. When constellations are turned on, I also see dark gray shapes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it didn't help. My email to SkyView support went unanswered.

I have played with about a dozen of similar apps, liking SkyView and Stellarium the most and finding all the others notably less desirable. The most important criteria for me has been how easy it is to match up the displayed stars with reality and how hard it is on the eyes to switch back and forth. Suggestions for improvements: * Make the constellation art more dimmed (or dimmable) so that it does not overpower the other displayed information. * Similarly, make the thickness of the constellation lines configurable. * Implement a quick-switch display menu, like in Stellarium or Sky Map, so that users do not have to go through multiple clicks to switch on/off constellation lines, art, trajectories, satellites, etc. Ideally a single click from a slide-out menu should do. * Allow the display to to adjust when holding the phone horizontally. Currently the the identified star/constellation name is fixed on the bottom of the display (when held vertically). When the phone is rotated, the name stays in the same location, where it gets obstructed by the hand holding the phone, and the text direction becomes now vertical.

My friend and I use this app once or twice a week and really enjoyed the free app. I believe in supporting the apps you find useful. The reason I didn't give it a five rating was that the objects are not where the app says they are. Others, I see, have the same issue. It's not off by much but it makes a big difference when trying to identify a "small" object and has led to some escalated conversations.

I was using the free version on an older phone and I really love it. So then I got myself a new phone (Samsung A32 5G) and decided to get the paid version of the app. Unfortunately it's not working well. The objects on the screen are 15 degrees offset to the left compared to reality. I've tried doing that figure 8 sensor recalibration maneuver multiple times and it's still offset by a very visible amount. I hope you guys figure out what's up with that.
