Updated: 10/6/24 PAY ONLY! UNINSTALL. Updated: 3/16/24 No longer shows a forecast for more than a few hours. Worthless to me now. I do not use subscription fee apps. I will be using NOAA for free from now on. Original review at 4 Stars: My biggest issue is the high price, and that it is a yearly subscription.

It's frustrating how an app that used to be so highly rated and reviewed as one of the best tools to have when getting ready to fly your drone now has blocked it via mandatory paywall. Incredibly disappointing that even though they claim to have the free map, you can't even get to it without trying the trial. Time to uninstall.

I used this app all the time and while I considered upgrading to get more data, the minimal 24 hour data was sufficient for hobby use. While I don't usually like leaving bad reviews for what really could be considered a great app, the way in which this was done was unacceptable in my opinion. For users like myself who had been using the app for months or years, to then without warning have it no longer available at all without subscription is bad business practice and has me looking elsewhere.

first they took away the free 7 day forecast and made it 1 day, which kills the main point of the app but then they made it show the forecast for only the next 3 hours. was basically rendered useless at that point. and as if they hadn't already killed the app, they made features like wind altitude into a paid feature. Now the cherry on top is that it won't even tell you the forecast AT ALL at your location. you legit can't use anything anymore, not even worth the price dont bother

App was fine when it was free. Upon making it a pay to use app, they think it's ok to show statistics from another area with a small disclaimer at the top, could be potential consequences for drone pilots. Horrible and deceiving practices. Used to be my goto app for it's simple yet effective interface but uninstalled due to sleazy and greedy model.

Absolutly horrendous business practices ruled by greed instead of a desire to improve the service. And don't even bother responding with your disingenuous copy-paste reply. I don't care that you offer a NFZ map for free, so does every single drone app on the planet. For people who are still looking for a free alternative, windy.app will give you wind speed at altitude, cloud base, and pretty much everything else these guys claim make their app "worth it" now. It's not perfect, but it's better.

New update makes it worthless don't install! Was a fantastic app but now you MUST pay for the subscription or all it shows you is a preview of a different location and you are REQUIRED to pay if you want to see data for your location instead of another country. My entire drone club used this app and didn't mind that some options were locked unless you subscribed but now we have all switched over to another app due to this app being completely useless without paying $7 a month or $50 a year.

10/3/24 looks like the App has fully became payware. Old: It was a great app but human greed yet again taken it's toll on something which was a great tool. Before to access 24 hours it was free then that was recently changed. Before that it was several days. I have no problems having a cost component to some of these apps but this isn't the way to do it....
