App does not run in the background, so if you need to leave the screen or any reason it disconnects. Then you need to physically press the power button on the unit to turn it back on and then tap connect in the app. If I turn it on, I want it to stay on! My Kestrel DROP doesn't do this. I don't have to go to the device and press the power button to connect to it BLE, nor does the app stop working if I switch to another app. Also, they make it hard to see ALL the data fields at once.

Pretty barebones. Unlike others my app paired just fine with the device, but the instructions on how to physically hold the device (logo facing toward you, you facing the wind) were hidden in the FAQs with no tutorial. Also, there's no real exporting of data (the "share" feature is kind of a joke) and no obvious way to attach GPS data to the reports, which makes this mostly a toy app. For a $60 device whose app lets you select "work" as your reason for use, I'd expect more data handling options.

The Brunsons

The weatherflow meter doesn't seem to be working. The wind readings are correct, but the temperature is off and it wont calibrate. I breathed on the meter and the temp never got above 74. I went outside,when it was 34 deg and the meter never got below 50. The calibrate option only appears when the meter is disconnected or off. I've tried other apps and they won't calibrate either. I have a Samsung S8. I did try the app on a iOS and it did the same. I'm thinking it's the meter. Please help.

The App allows you to read the wind speeds on your smartphone using the BT wind meter; however, none of the other features are working yet. The SHARE and VIEW ON MAP don't work and provide false readings. This is a know limitation to the app so don't waste your time calling tech support to resolve, as I did.

I am returning the little blue thing. I got it for long range shooting to k ow the wind speed and direction. Direction doesn't work when you hold the phone vertical. It works when I am holding the phone horizontal but this way you can't get wind. If you fix that I'll consider buying it again and I'll give you 5 star. Thanks Updating firmware doesn't work on note 10 plus. Please fix it. Thank you

Absolute garbage app and anemometer. If you want to look at any of results of a past reading and you are in the middle of taking another reading, it stops and you lose all of that data. What a waste of $90

The latest update broke the app. I just bought another meter thinking my first one had failed, but the new one doesn't connect either, and I've now gotten rid same result on two phones. It worked fine the last time I used it on May 4th, then after the May 8th update, I've got nothing.

Worthless piece of garbage! Installed it twice, trying to give it 2nd chance. Same result both times. Default setting is 'meters per second', tried changing to 'mph'. Wouldn't let me! Froze up and had zero response to every 'tap choice' on the page with all the options on it. Basically an electronic boat anchor!
