The gimbal is really nice, but the app is glitchy. It takes multiple restarts to connect via Bluetooth & has no connectivity options for use with other apps (Tiktok, Insta, etc.). You're forced to use it if you want to film and use the gimbal's functions, then upload the video into one of the other apps later. There's a learning curve for mastering the different modes, but it seems simple enough after a bit of practice.

Wow... This is top class bs application. I am an app developer, even worked on an app heavily dependant on BLE connectivity, but this is just a disgrace of a product. Your main feature, connecting to the gimble is not working. Amazing stuff guys... Really.... What an amazing engineering team you have. I guess i can now throw the purely new device that worked exactly one time to the trash. If I could give it 0 stars, that we be more appropriate.

The app works fine, however it seems to be more targeted towards the Chinese market. Plenty of the videos in the front page are mostly filmed in China, so I suggest making a separate app for international customers. Optimization is needed; however works fine. The activation process was not only a pain, but a total mess. I tried 3 phones, 2 reputable phone brands, and 1 random Chinese phone brand. To my surprise, the Chinese phone activated quickly. I suggest contacting support to activate.

This app is basically useless. First, it won't allow me to record 1080 60fps. Yes, my camera is capable of 4K @ 60 fps. Second, it won't even record now. Keep getting an error when I hit the record button. And no, it's not the hardware. I have no problems recording with other camera apps. Now, to top it off, it won't even connect to the Smooth 5. I tried everything, including reinstalling the app. Completely worthless. This is just another reason not to buy stuff made in China. Yes, I know the Smooth 5 is made in China. Maybe the Bluetooth connection problem lies with it. I'm returning the Smooth 5 to amazon, which is from where I bought it. This is probably the only time I have ever given a 1-star review. This app is just that bad.

Needed an iPhone to initialize a Smooth-X. Something about being unable to "obtain device information" on my Android. A curious omission in the Android app is the lack of account setup that is present the iOS version (which seems to be required). After initialization, it works with my Android phone, but the live image lags a little on the app, again only on Android. A real deal breaker if you don't have access to iOS.

I can't give this app more than 1 star if I can't experience it. I bought the smooth q3 smartphone gimbal, and the app was only useful for connecting my phone to it. Any time I open the app to use with the gimbal, it crashes. I'm thinking of taking it back if I can't use all of its features. I need some help on this. I have 10 days to return it. If I can't get a response from the developers, then it's going back. Phone : Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Software: Android Version 12 One UI Version 4

Update: I was able to remove the ZY Cami watermark from photos and videos edited on the app! It is difficult to find but go to the ZY app home page, click on the user icon in the lower right, then click on the nut icon in the upper right, scroll down and click on privacy, deslect "add watermark" and done! I bumped this review up a star now, but still ding it one star because it's really difficult to navigate all the settings. Otherwise, the app works great on my Smooth Q4.

Same problem as Arthur Kwan, the app keeps repeatedly saying firmware 1.80 is available for download for the Smooth Q4. After applying it three times I also gave up and clicked to ignore this version. I have a Xioami Note pro 9. Would be great to have some way to see what firmware is running on the gimbal. Because the Gimbal Tool is also not working over USB on my laptop, it does not see the device. And 60 fps would be nice.
