First:- Buggy! Was unable to pair with the mini from this app. Tried across 3 phones. The mini is clearly visible & pairable from a variety of BT devices (phones, tabs, laptops) but the app fails miserably at connecting. Second and more of a security/privacy concern - Permissions required by this app do not make sense given it's purpose (a dive computer camera app wants write access to system settings and make calls, send sms?).

Seems that all the videos and photos taken during a dive are lost if the app crashes before existing properly. That's a very unfortunate problem to have, especially since you can't exit the app properly without opening the case. Saving photos and videos to the phone in real time should be a priority feature.

Update to previous review...I lost my dives this weekend as now the app crashes as soon as you engage. It is now a worthless hunk of plastic garbage! What a shame! I love this device and this app! My son and I love the ease of use and the dive log feature. We have used this at 70 ft with no issue at all. Red light filter works great. I wish it worked with video, it not a deal breaker. I have gone as long as 30 minutes before opening and it has never crashed or lost my data. ...

Requires you to open the case to start the dive. It should be where a button is, Bluetooth modal should pop if not enabled with the button over yes enable. Button function should be easy to understand during dive. I use this this like once a month at best Camera should use full picture resolution of devices especially for still. Setting for automatic export to camera roll needed. Just do it. Its android it should be on the camera roll and resultingly end up auto backed up on Google Photos.

The app is so bad it makes the hardware unusable. You can't start or stop a dive without opening the housing so if it will take awhile for you to get to your dive location you will be eating your phone battery and heating the phone while it runs pointlessly. If the dive stops prematurely, which happens when ANYTHING goes wrong, you're SOL. Anytime that happens your photos and videos thus far are lost completely, which is ridiculous - save them as soon as they are captured!!

After 30 min of taking video and photos, I left my phone in the case (Universal Pro) and did not stop the app right away. You can only stop the app if you open the case....when I did around 20min later the app had crashed and all the videos and fotos I just recorded were gone and the dive did not even show up in the timeline. So real-time saving would be nice and please add a function to stop the app while having the phone in the case. It's not handy to insert/extract the phone between several uses. Thanks!

This app has its merits. It tracks alot of good data and puts all of your photos into folders automatically. The (very) bad is if you try to share your photos, the app forcibly puts a "Diveroid" logo in the top right corner of the picture. This has the effect of ruining the picture. Adding the logo should be an option and not manditory. I am VERY disappointed and dissatisfied with diveroid ruining my great pictures. This problem is very easy to fix and I recommend fixing it this month.

Good,with some more work this will be great. Needs a mode that let you use it without pairing the dive mini for kayak adventures. Needs to be able to export images to your gallery more easily. Ability to rotate portrait shots or when exported not chop them in half so they become square. Of i can find where diveroid stores images i might be able to overcome some of this. Also images on note 10+ do not seem as good as when taken with standard phone app, oversharpening artifacts are more visable.
