Very disappointed with the app's design and functionality. Basic and poor. So many improvements needed! Sad to see the content is badly let down by the app. Not very user friendly. Hate the cheap advertising and so many things... So much to learn from The Guardian and others... I will continue reading the Guardian, for which I will happily pay a full subscription for when I have to. I doubt I will renew El Pais. Even paying a discountted rate.

I pay a monthly subscription to see advertisements on the bottom of my screen?! Also it asks me to log in every now and then - poor functionality. Some of the news are not accessible in the app and it asks for you to go to the web, after which you land on main page and have to search manually for what you were reading. This app is a straight up scam.

About half the time, the app freezes on the opening screen (that just says El País). The only way I've found to get past that is to uninstall and reinstall. I uninstalled the app permanently. I'm on Android, latest version.

El Pais is fantastic source of authoritative and well-written articles, but I'm afraid that I have to give the app itself only 4 stars for now. What would make this a 5 star app is: (1) to have an audio option for each article, as is now standard with The Economist and the Washington Post; (2) to enable dark mode, with either an option in the app itself or allowing the app to default to the smartphone's own dark mode setting.

Terrible experience, just subscribed, and unable to login. I thought it just not settled the payment or whatever, but reading the comments here its not just a newbie problem. Much to learn from the guardian also I read,more disappointment, as I love it. I've found that Spanish apps in general don't seems to value and invest in apps development .

Desinstalada. No pienso pagar por leer el periódico cuando está lleno de publicidad y ya tiene limitaciones en los artículos que puedes leer. Un mal paso. I have uninstall the app. I won't pay for reading a newspaper that shows advertisements all the time. The app already have limitations to read some articles. Bad step.

The worst app. I have to login every day and my credentials won't be recognized. Need to change password every day to access my account. I canceled my subscription. This app is a joke. Too bad because the newspaper content is excellent, but the El País newspaper executives don't seem to care for their online subscribers.

1) You can't select not to receive notifications about US news. 2) You can select to receive news from Spain or Latin America, but not both. 3) You can't avoid sports news, even if you select not to receive sports news. 4) They send 50% more push notifications than New York Times 😵💫 5) All notifications are grouped under Urgentes.
