Good, solid and relaibale app. Improvements: Messages marked as read or received in the messenger app should not notify on the inreach after it receives them from the Iridium satellite queue.. Also, it would be nice to select and copy multiple messages at once. Otherwise very stable, reliable and hasn't let me down so far. Compared to Iridium go, this is an apple product. Thanks Garmin!

got inreach to use for hunting, but it requires 2 separate garmin apps. it isn't user-friendly, and i wasn't able to text other inreach numbers. I'm currently wasting time trying to cancel my subscription until next year when I look forward to hours of figuring out how to turn it back on. dying alone on a mountain somewhere is starting to feel preferable.

It has taken me 3 days to set up my inReach mini 2. It connected to my Samsung phone no trouble but the app, no! Tried and tried then found out there is a setting that needs to be activated on the mini2 to allow it to connect to the phone which does not appear in the initial setup. Details are in the help section on the app. I'm not a brilliant techie but am used to sorting problems like this. It is however the very worst item i have ever tried to set up & this app is not fit for purpose.

The idea and purpose of the app make sense. The device itself is ok. However a lot of problems with software starting with enabling device, pairing with phone, selecting and connecting and suspending to a service plan. Even payment was a pain. Awful app. Awful user experience. Explore map lags and often fails to show a track. The only thing which worked during my last 1000nm voyage was tracking and weather requests... Garmin, don't break my trust in you. Fix this.

Have been going round and round trying to activate this app. It is NOT "intuitive"at all. Would be nice for a "back lite" with a contrast adj for the older folks, ( you know who you are....the ones SQUINTING right now) I give up for tonight....if I get lost, its YOUR fault.

Not supported on my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro. Only downloaded it to try and pair my device cos won't work on Connect. This is the problem with Garmin. Great product, but let down by the most shocking software EVER!! You'd think they were a 2-bit company with all the software issues they have. Seriously, buy a Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch instead. That's what I'm doing, and then I'm going to sue Garmin for a product not fit for purpose.

I keep deleting "this person is now on Garmin Messenger" and it keeps coming back. Also the whole point of this app is to use it when not connected to the internet, so why can't it update the number of messages sent and received when not connected to the internet? Why can't it keep track of the number of satellite messages?

Spent 2 hours so far to try and connect my new inreach mini 2 to the app, unsuccessfully. Read the paper manual multiple times, went through all menues many times, nothing. Very frustrating
