Passable. No updates since 2018? Better graphing would be appreciated; longer/controllable timeframe, saving, downloading would be appreciated Star removed as I had forgotten that all graphs are deleted as soon as the Bluetooth link is lost. Which happens often. Infuriating when you a song a long smoke. The device (inkbird ibq 4x) works as advertised, but is seriously let down by the app. PLEASE update the software!

App loses connection to the unit way too frequently. Might not be so bad but then it doesn't retain any data from that cook. Should not be hard to fix, but nothing has been done to fix any of the issues that everyone has. Update 31/3/24 - so the app finally gets an update, and you still don't fix the issue that EVERYBODY reports - losing connection/not tracking the whole cook. Pathetic.

It ist okay to check the Temperatures, i Like the simplicity and Putting Temperatur Ranges for my Smoker. But the serious downside is, the device loses Connection quite often, just briefly and the resets all progress. I can't follow any temperature curves in my meat due to the reset with each connection reset. That's some serious downside, otherwise I'd give 5 stars. Updated to 2 Stars, apparently I have all 10 Min a connection loss via Bluetooth to different devices even.

I will echo what MANY MANY others have said. The hardware is GREAT! But the app is TERRIBLE, every time the bluetooth drops all prior data is erased, it remembers the presets but not the temperature logs. That really bites. And it not just walking too far away. If the app goes to the background at all, say you want to look at something else on your tablet. Tapping on the chiclet to bring the app to the foreground is probably going to wipe the graph data, this from is less than 50' away so I KNOW it not a distance thing. Hardware gets four stars, this app is lucky to get one

Using a Soraken. This is the second app I tried, second that won't connect with bluetooth. I will not allow access to my location, so maybe that's why. (Why do you need access to location?) Tried 'EZBBQ' and it's literally the exact same app with same issues. Tried third app called 'GrillEye' and not only did the bluetooth connect, but it did not request access to my location.

Trash. Doesn't connect mostly, if it does it drops a lot. Poor range. Only uses 2.4ghz wifi, can't use wifi6. The only good thing is they company tries to help on various online communities. This app and their products are too dated and lacking too many features in 2024. I'd suggest using another company that has relevant features. Also, their products take usb-c but can only accept 1 Amp charging. No one I know has a 1 Amp charger these days.

App has so much potential but will randomly close which causes you to lose all temp history. The temp graph ranges are kind of finiky sometimes as well. Another great touch would be the ability to save temp charts from cooks to help troubleshoot what went good and bad with the cook. UPDATE: 7/14 app update just deleted my presets and probe units from the app. Have to resync and redo all of my saved temps and ranges.

The app has potential. However one of the biggest drawbacks is the baseline temperature you cannot set or offset the temp error. This reads 31 degrees hotter than 3 other probes (all of which are with 5 degrees of each other). Second it doesn't give a timer for estimated completion based on the rising temperature of the food. Update 3/26/22 After getting new probes, this thermometer is pure garbage. Wildly wrong temps and no way to adjust or offset. I threw it in the trash today. Never again!
