couldn't be less useful. loses data. doesn't stay in sync with the website. very slow. loses associated accounts. no email notifications or app notifications for books that are due. all in all a huge downgrade since the previous one.

Putting the app into appalling. Must have been made by Noddy and the characters from Toytown. As there is no evidence of anyone having any knowledge of software engineering or development. Do not waste your time installing, you will only waste more time trying to use it. Absolutely useless.

it worked really well on a Samsung but it won't even open on a pixel 9. supports response was 'keep restarting it'. utterly hopeless. such a shame as it was really useful

This new version of the app is terrible. The interface is less intuitive and the functions often don't work. It frequently won't even load at all. It has stopped sending me email reminders that books need renewing, or that books which have been ordered have arrived for collection ... basically all the things it needs to do no longer work. Such a shame, I loved using it.

The new version seems very poor. I've now got a fine as the new version doesn't seem to let you know when items are due for renewal. It is also much slower. When a book I had reserved was in for collection, the library called me to let me know, presumably because this app can no longer let us know. I've no idea why this "upgrade" was allowed, as it very much seems to be a downgrade.

I agree with all the other comments in 2024. The app has got worse in every way. It's slower to open and use. In app text runs off the screen so I can't read important information about my loans. I can't renew any books in app. I have twice taken a book out on a 14 day loan only to find out the software set the date of return for 7 days! I don't know one person in our local library that thinks the update is even equally as functional or reliable as it was before.

since the new systems came in, this app is incredibly slow and keeps logging me out.

Since the latest update this app has become pretty much unusable. Doesn't give notifications via email anymore about your loans and reservations. When trying to make a reservation I get an InvalidDateFormat error popup in a modal with no other information. No way of reporting bugs in app either. So bad. The UI is appalling.
