Best screen recording app out there! I've tried many and none compare to this one! Love the little circle you can position on your screen for quick access, the quality of the recording (video and sound) 10/10, it's free, the ads are so thoughtfully placed you almost don't notice they are even there, it automatically saves your recordings to your phones gallery which is very convenient, and it's very easy to navigate the app which is definitely appreciated! I definitely recommend this app!

I'm using version 2.3.7.5. I have tried AZ Screen Recorder, Mobizen and ADV Screen Recorder and all of them demand to use the Draw / Display over other apps feature, which has been turned off in Android Go Editions, ostensibly, "because it slows down your phone". Screen Recorder - XRecorder gives you the option to enable that later and works with or without it. It records internal audio and has a Quick Settings Tile that conserves RAM by starting the app on-the-fly from the notification shade.

So I don't know if it's my phone, me, or app. Easy to use and set up first off. My phone a Galaxy Fold 4 has a screen record option, but everything I try to record that isn't the play store it says "app doesn't allow." I used this app instead, and it records the sound and any messenger text bubbles that are on screen and my apps at the bottom, but everything else is black screen. I turned on permissions in options,but it didn't change anything. I'll change ating once I figure out the problem.

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh here, but I'm really irritated with this app. Everything was perfect from when I downloaded it except 1 major thing: the default audio settings. Why, for an app called SCREEN recorder, would you set the default to record through the MIC??? I could understand for internal AND the mic, MAYBE. But this is just stupid. I was trying to record a live concert and now I can't even enjoy it bc all I can hear is myself. Also, it crashed and I lost the 1st full half of it. So.

I used to like this app and use it all the time but like other greedy apps they had to put ads . Not the 5 second skip ads , but full length ads . You edit something another ad. You open the ap ad, and it still loves to drop and crash. Before it was tolerated because no ads. Now it still does it and tons of ads. So you would think they could afford to fix it but no.

Super simple controls and straight to the point. Nothing to have to figure out. Just hit record with the little button it gives you on the side of your screen them hit stop when you're done. Video will be in your gallery. Done! 👍 Couldn't be easier.

Was great until they removed ability to record a single app, and now you can only record the entire screen. Without the ability to record a single app, if I'm recording something and notification pop-ups appear on screen, they're now in the recording which is no good. Why would they disable the single app recording feature???

Terrific app that's user friendly and works exactly as it's supposed to with zero financial investment required. If you're like me and use it all the time, however, upgrading to a paid subscription provides additional, more complicated, and more professional editing tools that you just might find worth it. Plus it eliminates the ads, but tbh, they're really not that bad and are significantly less annoying and time-consuming than most free apps. Highly recommend!
