The State of African Women (SOAW) Project combined interventions that engaged and shaped the efforts of the Youth advocacy of 32 YWCA Young Women Champions to address the Pan-African policies and social norms that hinder the achievement of gender equality.

The project aimed at supporting 15 YWCA Member Association’s to inspire supportive policy reforms, with YWCA Kenya strengthening the capacity of Champions to enable the implementation of the policies and implementation of the framework for the Continental Policy Framework on SRHR, Maputo Plan of Action (MPOA).

This mobile-friendly, interactive, YWCA-SOAW APP has been developed through the State of the African Women Campaign (SOAWC) as a digital mobile application platform to facilitate YWCA Champions ease of reference to all campaign materials for continued advocacy beyond the project.
