As someone who has been learning Chinese for a few years, I will say this app is amazing at describing characters and helping you to really remember them. I'm above 1000 characters, but even using it to fully understand characters I know a bit of has been a major help, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them add more characters in the future! Best chinese learning app by far in my opinion.

I have been using this app for a few days now and it's absolutely great! In other apps, characters are mostly given without context, which makes learning harder for me. I am quite a visual learner, so the background image, as well as a descriptive text about how the character came to be is amazing! Characters I learned just by raw memorisation now make sense. The app doesn't contain ads for some kind of 'premium' or in general as of now, which helps me stay focused on learning. Overall, 5 stars

So far the app is great! I've been looking for some kind of app that let's me learn hanzi quickly and Hanzihero has a too slow progression for me. The app is easy to use and I really like the UI and Simplicity, it even shows stroke orders of the Characters, the only downside is that it, as of right now only includes about 1000 Hanzi, but it's completely free. No subscription model! I really appreciate this app!

This app is awesome!! Appreciate attention to details and lots of insights into Chinese characters which contain in themselves not only abstract ideas but concrete images. Plus the account sync which is too much for a free app!!

downloaded from reddit. Great experience. The app runs smoothly, good illustrations, easy to understand explanation. Probably need a few weeks of use for a fairer review. But overall really good. Google signup doesn't work.

I can speak mandarin but I've never been able to read. I've tried so many times to learn, but it seemed no app or YouTube lessons could help me. Then my sister recommended this app to me two days ago and already I have made more headway and absorbed more than I've ever had before. Cheers for Hanly!

I keep finding more things to love about this app. It's so pretty, too! I love that it's almost designed to fall down a rabbit's hole for Chinese characters.

incomplete, but exceptional. fills gaps you may use multiple apps for, beginner orientation but i see full support fully rounding the app.
