• You can now change your gym via the profile and the exercise database.
• This combines the old gym profiles and weight options and gives more flexibility to those training at multiple gyms.
• Via "Gym > Weights" you can now set your weight type to "Bar and plates", in addition to "Ranges". You can then enter your bar weight as well as what type and quantity of plates you have.
• When using "Bar and plates" the new plate calculator will be shown when entering a weight during your workouts.

In terms of functionality, this app has everything I want in a lifting app. I really love being able to select what equipment I have available and having it generate a program around that. However, given how expensive it is I really expect a native android app design. This is ripped straight from iOS including animations and placement of UI elements. It can be pretty jarring.

I am new to this app, but by the end of the first workout, I was hooked. I am using the Pro version and love how each workout is carefully planned out for me, is consistent, encourages me to progressively overload, keeps track of what I'm doing, and even tells me when to rest, and when to move on to the next set. The app also includes excellent videos and descriptions of how to execute each set perfectly and how to properly use equipment. It's like having a personal trainer in my back pocket!

Been using Alpha Progression for a few years now and it's awesome! I've never had success sticking to a plan, but this app has helped me so much! It's one of the only apps I opt to pay for simply to support the developer. The free version did everything I needed and I used the free version for the first year but I am using the paid one now. Never had issues with any bugs, it's the most reliable app I've ever installed lol. Can't rate it high enough

The app is pretty good. Cons - Post workout summary data is embarrassingly weak. No info on volume over any amount of time or really much of any post workout data. My garmin watch displays more on its watch face than what I get here, and many FOSS (free open source) fitness apps do far, far better. - periodization and RIR needs improvement both UI and in UX - warmup rounds need to be added not as notes and probably count towards volume The app needs to be more powerful to be useful int/adv user

Really enjoying Alpha Progression so far. I tried to go the free route and went through a bunch of free trial on other apps but kept coming back to Alpha Progression because of the simplicity and customization. Great UI makes it that I'm not fiddling with the app during my workouts. Overall, it's well worth the yearly subscription to keep workouts varied and interesting based on your equipment. Would love to see Garmin integration so Garmin knows what workouts I'm actually doing. 5 stars

Great workout app, allows me to do everything I need to build a solid schedule. Couple of the best features are the workout selection filtering and the explanation of the workout (if needed). I don't pay for the app, but it still provides enough features to meet my needs. Also not bloated with ads which is a plus! I am an application developer and I can say a lot of thought was put into the design and usability of the interface.

App has a very extensive selection of excercises that allow you to make sets for any free weights and any machine. You can also adjust your plan anytime so it's not like you have to just do what you had planned that day you can add anything else onto it and make it a permanent part of the plan or just a temp thing. I only wish it had a calorie burn tracker.

Excellent. Programming capabilities are spot on and follow sound science. The app's routine theory crafting appears to be in line with the most up to date hypertrophy science (haven't tried the strength and endurance programming yet). The level and ease of customizability is unparalleled. You can even customize available equipment, blacklist certain exercises and sort of favorite other exercises when using the apps programming features. Features are aesthetically appealling too.
