Have to close the app prior to using any other app or to my home screen, or it to work. If I switch apps while Hilo is running, the app displays a "no internet connection" window overlapping the app when I come back to it. When I press back, thinking it will go away. It doesn't. You can see the app responds and goes to the previous screen. However, the "no internet connection" screen hovers over the app and you can't do anything else, but to close and reopn the app for it to work.

Not very reactive. Has a delay in executing commands. Update . Was not able to have a defective dimmer switch replaced. Call after call from Hilo to explain and explain. Today and tomorrow, 4 successive challenges. Does this make sense (two per day). If you have kids, forget about it.

Can't control any of my lights or thermostats as of this morning. Rebooting the app or phone does nothing. Rebooting the hub from the app does nothing (there's no feedback on the hub to tell me anything is happening). Rebooting the hub manually does nothing. Pray for me if this keeps happening in the winter.

I like the way the app allows me to manage thermostats and other devices but missing interoperability with very popular services such as SmartThings or IFTTT makes it harder to integrate with automated triggers. Also, ability to schedule timers on a more complicated schedule than weekdays would be awesome. Cheers!

The app takes ages to open, and it is necessary to close it and open several times before it works properly. Also it is sometimes necessary to check the settings (as thermostats temperatures targets) as it comes back at the previous setting by itself.

Appreciate the app but i think it needs more refinements when setting up device programs. Heating and light should be two seperate programs allowing to pause one or the other (when leaving the house for a few days). Thanks

The app functions well however the fact that you are disqualified from a challenge because a previous Google home routine was running and triggered a scene is unfortunate. Having to remember to disable Google routines that run 24/7 for the challenges is going to be a challenge of itself
