Connections to devices fails often requiring resett of the hub or an ADT technician visit. Claims to work with Google Home voice services but hasn't worked since the October 17th update. Repeated contact to support has resulted in no response. Reporting on the app to the development team is just ignored. If you are a major property manager stay clear of this app your residents will be much happier.

It's unfortunate my apartment uses this system. It never works, there's constant problems when it does. They said they had system wide issues that they were working on and this was months ago and it's still unfixed.

Nothing ever responds. I can't change the temperature on our thermostat. I can't turn our lights on or off because they don't respond either. The app says lights and fans are on when they aren't. This app is useless. It can't do anything. I still just have to do everything manually. There is no benefit to having this app setup with your home.

Having little experience with smart homes I was amazed at how easy it was to get going. I even made my own scenes and routines, without any problem, linked to my Alexa and the best thing of all... I don't feel like a dummy around all these smart devices because the app made it so easy. Thank you, Iotas, for such cool gadgets and a great app to play with them 😋

This has been very convenient to use, however, lately, my AC part of the app has been glitchy. It says it's off even when it's not. So then I have to click the drop down at the bottom of the screen to switch from "Off" to the other option so that I can adjust the temp in my home from my phone. Not sure why. Otherwise, it's been great.

Painfully underdeveloped for Android. Had to turn off ALL internet data to even register app?? (kept reporting "Something went wrong" and crashing, had to set it up offline first). Fan controls, door locks, and especially dimmers are clunky and frequently will not respond to input. Routines are pretty barebones. Can't even set a basic sleep timer for fans. Now as of a 3/28/24 update, app hangs and crashes when toggling ANYTHING... on a flagship phone running Android 13. Absolutely silly.

In my previous apartment, I had my own smart devices setup with a Samsung Smart things and wanted to continue using that when I moved in. I figured I could just add those devices to IOTAS but they do not allow for outside devices to be added and you are at the mercy of your apartment company. Overall the system lacks a lot of features that a standard smart home environment should have. Very disappointed.

Overall, I enjoy having the IOTAS system in my building - it represents a niche market where purchasing/installing a full smart home kit (for a non-permanent home) isn't ideal. The app itself has been developed rather well, albeit with some flaws. However, the company's made some choices that seem to not be in user's best interests. Primarily, they've recently disabled their web client in favor of their mobile app (odd, considering they're both Angular-based), and prevent residents from adding their own devices. As a developer, I'd like to have a bit more control over my system, so these are both negative aspects in my opinion. Overall, I'm a fan of the system, but it could use some improvements. || Pros: + Excellent customer support + UI is convenient, matches exact layout of unit + Google Assistant integration works well || Cons: - AngularJS app is more sluggish than a native app - Lacks functionality to add custom devices - Hub has been known to crash on boot
