It did not have as many ads as described (but that might be because I'm offline), but it worked. I held it up to a metal door handle, and it started to vibrate. Obviously, not as much as a real metal detector, but it gets the job done. But be aware there is FAKE ADVERTISING aka "virus detection." Basically, it tries to get you to download a virus disguised as a virus blocker.

Ok you need revenue from advertising but to force the volume to maximum and then reset to maximum is not on. Can't see many people keeping the app on their phone with this severe impediment. The adverts are so intrusive i would never want the app anywherevnear any of my devices thank you. Rethink your strategy and perhaps you'll hold onto some users.. Good luck.

This app works! I used this app to locate electricians metal backboxes that some annoying plasterers fill in & plaster over. It does the job well. If metal is buried to deep it may not set off the vibration & beeping but it still identifies a location by the numbers increasing on the display. It reliably located 20 metal boxes every time. Brill. Just wish I could turn off the adverts.

won't even boot up. There's a message at the start that says this action MAY contain ads, ut what it really means is DOES! every time I try to boot it up it just says loading ads and won't even boot. I got frustrated and curious and just left my phone sitting down for 10 minutes and it's still didn't boot up.

In the app description it says it is a gold detector, but when you open the app it lists the metals it can't and can detect but gold definitely isn't one of them...but aluminum was in the in app list and it wouldnt pick up my soda can... it did however act like it detected the metal of a small cash box and the blades of scissors...but then it wouldn't detect any metal in my jewelry nor my husband - maybe too small though? Nooo...so what is it actually detecting then? Magnetic items, not metal!

This app is pretty accurate, when I put the phone on my hand it doesn't detect, but when I put it on another phone or any type of metal on the wall, it detects! And it could detect spiritual energy to be honest. Cause when there was no metal near by it detected nothing of metal. But still this app deserves a 10/10!

It will detect metal... after a series of confusing ads. If your screen locks while detecting and you wake it up, there's even more ads. Wouldn't recommend.

I understand that free apps have ads but this was genuinely unusable due to ads.
