Deleting data from automobiles is extremely easy for anyone to do. We absolutely do not need your data collection app disguised as a tool to delete car infotainment data. Your app is not capable of doing this because you're not actually connected to the cars computer system. Edit 12-20-23 , Warranty is still active after deleting data and contacting customer support at Toyota. Nice try... still don't trust you.

IF USING MANUAL CAR SELECTION MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT VEHICLE. Chose to autodelete without using VIN scan. I thought entering the car model manually was ok. There were multiple images of various infotainment systems that seemed similar. It doesn't provide a warning that you will be using one of the two tokens if wrong option chosen. UPDATE: Team have restored my tokens. Revised Rating.

All the app does it tell you how to do a factory reset to your infotainment system. Given that I can find that information in a book called "THE OWNER'S MANUAL" the app is useless and a waste of time and money. Speaking of money, do not waste any of it on buying more "resets" since it does the same thing for all cars.

Seems more like a predatory app to collect YOUR information instead of deleting it off your car since the super intricate way they told me to erase the data was just to factory reset my infotainmemt system. Duh. Going after technology-illiterate people who are terrified of technology.

This app SUCKS! I downloaded it, registered, selected my specific car make and model, and TWICE it proceeded to give me the steps for the WRONG model! Your app used up my two free wipes using the WRONG car model, despite me specifically selecting the correct one. I'm really p.o.'d about this and view this as deliberate by your app in an effort to force people to pay. Just be upfront and make it clear that all people have to pay to use it if that is really what you're after. 😡

I accidentally chose to use company account. And I got an email saying that I can't do that because the email used isn't a company that does business with privacy4cars. Which I understand and didn't have a problem with. The issue that I had was when I explained this I got an email back that said try creating a personal account. Which I did. I then had an issue creating an account, so I emailed back and waited. No response. So support sucks. I was looking forward to trying. I'm very disappointed

Unfortunately I share other reviewer's concerns about, ironically, the privacy of this app. If all it does is provide easy instructions on clearing personal data, then there is no reason an account should be necessitated. I'll just Google it. Dev response: Please explain how someone would abuse information without an account.

App requires location data to be provided in order to function. Entirely unnecessary and very invasive. You DO NOT need this information to clear information from an infotainment system. This is likely a violation of 4th amendment rights by a non-government entity.
