I love the programming. I think it would be great if you could list the programs so that you could relisten to them after the fact. For example All things considered from yesterday if you wanted to listen to it this morning. It'd be nice if you had that. Also I find the response of the app very slow. If I hit the play button it usually takes about 40 seconds before I actually hear the program so I feel like pushing the button again which of course puts it on pause with its delay as well.

Only have 2 stars because I love public radio. But the function of this app is terrible. Constantly freezes part way through listening then if you reopen and try to get to where you left off you might as we'll start at the beginning again because fast forwarding also causes freezing. Have installed 6 times because I keep hoping it has gotten better. Maybe some day.

2022 update: Much improved! Streams well, plus I like the shortcuts to podcasts. Hasn't crashed on me. It does occasionally start playing over other apps without warning. 🤔 2013 I've never been able to get the app to run successfully on my device, either on WiFi or mobile network. It just shuts down.

I love it when it's working, but too often it stops right in the middle of something important. Very very frustrating. I have complained before but it doesn't seem to be getting fixed. Sometimes I just have to change the station because I'm so annoyed when it drops the program every few minutes

NHPR is awesome. This app will stream NHPR for you, but that's about all its okay for. It's fairly slow, it seems to me like they just made a mobile version of the NHPR site and slapped it into an app. Could be a better native app and smoother.

The app constantly drops the connection. It's bad enough that I've stopped using the app and listen to NHPR through another app (Tune-In). This app never drops the connection so the problem isn't with my equipment.

NHPR is an asset to me and my community. I get up to the moment news and information. I don't need to doubt their sources or point of view, because the news is only news and the opinions offered are ALWAYS clearly stated as opinions. I'm away from home right now, in Las Vegas, and a little homesick. I am grateful that I can use the app on my phone to hear a voice from home. I haven't even mentioned the shows that are available. The Folk Show, Outside/In and I'm running out of room...
