Easily the worst app ever, never connected to my device. Uninstalled. I've connected my sprinkler system, garage door openers, smart lighting, washer, dryer, oven, window shades and a number of other networked smart devices myself with no issues, so it's not a competency issue.

The app works well and gives you reminders when you need to change or maintain things. Two stars removed because the commingle marketing notifications with necessary notifications and do not separate them with separate controls. You can either turn off all notification or not. This is the only app on my phone that doesn't separate them to allow you to continue getting the notifications you want and turn off the ones you do not want.

The reviews on this app is ridiculous. I can tell you the reason it asks for permissions: it needs to access your WiFi and camera to scan a barcode on your vacuum to add it. Most apps need permissions. And you aren't safe from anything with a smart phone or internet. Anyways, the app is simple! Setup was super easy for me. Seems you need the app open when vacuuming for it to register activity, but this is a small issue. Overall, very happy with Tineco so far. The perks are nice!

Someone mentioned that they can't see anything more than their calendar. I knew I had seen more information, but when just opening the app, it's not there. If you're vacuum is offline (so no green dot in the app), you'll only be able to see the calender and the usage information. When the vacuum is online (green dot), you can see battery and reset the cleaning information. You can also still see your logged cleanings. Does the app look super high tech? No. Does it show what it needs? Sure.

I'm sorry, but from reading the reviews it clearly shows how non-tech savy people are & how they FAIL to read the instructions. When connecting on the app page, it says device only supports 2G networks (so disconnect from your 5G to your 2G). For best cases, disable mobile data to push connect to wifi more smoothly. Also, this vacuum connects to your WIFI, so yes, it needs you login password. It's not a security risk. Of course your phone won't need it. Geez, come on people. The app works great.

Ridiculously awkward to connect device to app - gave up after 20 minutes. Every time I finally managed to connect to its hotspot network, I would go back to the app and then it would disconnect and revert to my home network before I could link the device. I didn't have high hopes for an app for a carpet cleaner to begin with, and the awkwardness and failure of setup sealed the deal.

Unfortunately I'm confused as to how a company that makes such awesome cleaning machines can't put enough money in development of an app that works. It will connect but NEVER initializes. Not sure how I can connect to the "hotspot" of the device with no issues but when it comes to initializing it constantly times out. I've troubleshot this thing too much putting way to much time into an app that shouldn't have any issues such as this. Either way your devices are AWESOME, but your app is. USELESS

Initially had very positive app experience with S11Plus. After having poor experience with their wet dry vac, we decided to get 2nd S11Plus. Now our S11Plus is no longer listed under our devices, but messages remain. Tried readding device, confirming permissions, region, and always on high speed 2.4 ghz network. No matter what we do, unable to add new device or readd the old. After confirming initial troubleshooting performed, tech support only solution is to record video.
