Mixed feelings. On the surface, it seems straightforward and the support team seem helpful but underneath, there's lots of bugs. I haven't been able to get an opportunity to tutor because each one is gone as soon as the "opportunity" appears. I've left feedback and have not gotten a response. It's a shame because it seems like it would be such a good app - it has a lot of potential. They need to spread out their leads so the opportunities become more accessible to everybody.

This app is awful. There are so many bugs. I have been a tutor for over 2 months and can't get the scheduling to work. It always says that my time does not match the client's, but it actually does. The chat pops up all the time when I don't need it. Opportunities are gone within 2 minutes. I have not been able to get even 1 client these past 2 months! The website doesn't work correctly either! This company is absolutely ridiculous and a waste of my time and loss of money! I'm so disappointed!

I'm a doctoral student. I like the tutor Varsity recommended. The initial intake asked several questions to ensure my needs were captured. Live virtual tutoring was effective because there was a virtual whiteboard, it's recorded so I can review again, & the whiteboard notes are downloadable. Scheduling the tutoring sessions were easy. Communication with the tutor, through Varsity's messaging, is convenient. I like that they also gave military (active, retired, veteran) & 1st responder discounts.

i am a tutor and this is my primary means of income. it would be great if the app did not freeze on virtually every menu window available. i can never respond to client messages. the app is limited in comparison to the website, but the website feels like it was written in 1995. there is a lot that can be done to improve both the UI and UX of VT. I feel compelled to say this. i want to see a better working and looking app

My son is so quick on getting bored with things but loves learning his own way. I was a bit nervous to have him tutor online, but he loves his tutor so much!!! She understands him and has many activities lined up for him to keep him invested! Every time the session is over, my 5-year-old says he will miss her! If it's child approved, it's good!

My 11 year old was struggling in her classes. It was frustrating for myself as well for both myself and my child at home due to pandemic. It was difficult juggling work and trying to help my child with school. I found out about Varsity through my employer and it was the best choice I made. They offer tutoring instantly whenever my child needed it. You can customize the sessions. The 1 on 1 tutoring is the best. My child no longer struggles and confidence and grade has improved drastically.

The app platform has a lot of bugs. I add a service opportunity then all of sudden it's going. Had one tutoring experience since I had been on platform for months. Then I met one student in person because person claimed didn't know how to use the platform and wasn't invoice...VT has no records of it, then that same student canceled the services, then got back on the platform. A lot of confusion 😞

Experience as a tutor honestly is a bit frustrating. I accept an offer to teach within a minute of getting the text or email, only to find out that the student was assigned to a different tutor. So of the 10ish opportunities I accepted, I only got 1 student. So it sucks because I love it. I am a first time tutor, so I don't know what it is like for veterans. At this point I assume every opportunity I get, I wont get the student and 10/10, I'm right. To the one student I had - she was amazing!
