Updated review. Initially I found many of the app navigation options suddenly becoming unavailable but it now seems ok. Journey planning is clear and easy to use but has no live information re cancellations, eg today when Wirral line services are severely disrupted. The info is accessible, strangely, through the rather awkward station map. So you could be misled into thinking a service is running when it isnt. The website is far better with full and timely info re cancellations and disruptions.

Very frustrating that there is no 'back' function. Using the phone's own Back key just closes the app - particularly annoying when using the journey planner and you have to re-input all the details. Despite bug fixes, still crashes the first time I open it. Also doesn't show train movements in real time on the map - surely the information is available? Trains move on the map according to the timetable, not their real position, so app is useless if a train is delayed - which is precisely when you need the real time information.

Installed when it first launched and wasn't impressed. Reinstalled to see how much it had improved and I'm still underwhelmed. Nicest feature is the location one, automatically listinf your nearest stations without me having to search (Virgin, take note). Other than that, the features I use the most are sub-standard: departure boards aren't accurate/live enough (Virgin app told me train was running 1 min late, this didn't), or didn't list my line's trains at all until after an app restart.

I was dubios after having read some reviews but I gave it a go. I can't see what the problem is. Live trains, both directions, easy. I like the "My Journeys" screen which shows the next four trains at a glance. On the live screen I could click on a train and see where it's at. I'm happy with it.

Great looking at it from a timetable point of view, however, these can be found on most train apps such as trainline. The developers obviously couldn't be bothered to add purchases such tickets and season rail passes or even provide realtime information such as location of train(s). So in effect, this app is pretty useless and is worthy of its 2 star-rating.

Supposed to inform the user if there is a delay or cancellation on their route.....it doesn't! Train cancelled and a 3 hour wait for a replacement bus is classed as a "minor disruption" on the app. If you need reliable information go to the merseyrail website and ditch the app. (And before you say it....yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times)

Rarely do I feel moved to comment on an app but this 'update' is terrible I used to be able to display train times to AND from a number of departing stations AND return stations BEFORE I wanted to travel but now some genius removed that (because they thought it would be a great idea to have to spend time entering information into a journey planner each time)? Disappointing backward step

Straight out of 2012 The app is okay enough for checking departures but that's about it. Can't book a ticket, journey planner sucks, network map is pretty useless and it has useless menu options like mtogo offers. It doesn't fill the screen on modern phones and is generally just rubbish. Clearly hasn't been updated since 2015 at the latest.
