Great app! Clear & cohesive. Easy to follow. Main screen has things broken down by categories including things like favorites staff picks, lighthouses. hidden gems. golf, military heritage etc. The search tool is very effective in further drilling down various locations & places you may want to visit. One super helpful item is it tells you how far away is each of these destinations are from your current point. Once you click on a location, you can get info such as hours, fees & contact info.

DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS APP to save your empire pass for you! It will remove the pass at random. When you drive who knows how many miles out to the state park to enjoy an afternoon, some booth attendant will inform you that even if you have your pass number, and an email confirmation of the valid $80 pass renewal, that it's not enough to get into to the public park that you've already prepaid to be able to enter. Don't get turned away at the gate, do not use this app.

Useful, at-your-fingertips information for looking up your favorite NY State Parks. Handy storage of your Empire Pass information. Only thing I'd like to see added is an interactive map that can find Parks close to where I am at this moment. New York is huge and I don't yet know all the regions. Good job!

A few months ago I installed the app and the parks in the Finger Lakes region we were planning to visit had great information. Now we arrive and they're missing? I'm only seeing 38 parks listed in the app. Try to find Watkins Glen State Park- it's gone. Don't the so-called developers of this app do even the barest amount of testing?

Can't imagine it can be useful to anyone. All information in tha app is easily avaliable on the web and park web pages usually contains way way more useful and detailed information. Nice interfsce though, might became a useful app in time, so not one star, but three.

UPDATE: The app tells me I need to update it, so u click on update now, and I can only open the app (no update) so now I have to uninstall and reinstall. This app is great. Easy to use and comprehensive. I wasn't expecting much from a state parks app and I was very pleasantly surprised.

I actually really like this app, except that it randomly deleted my digital Empire Pass. I went to go to a state park, but for some reason it was no longer saved on my phone. Waste of time, super frustrating.

Could be nice to use. Has the ability to capture your Empire Pass...however, apparently you have to rescan your pass after the app updates. Found that out the hard way. Was not pleased.
