This app hasn't been updated for 2 1/2 years, none of the bugs have been removed, despite emails to the developers, who seem to have lost interest. Decent enough free brewing software. It's clunky, not remotely intuitive, page layout is terrible at reasonable zoom levels, some sections remain in Italian even though English version installed. I have been unable to find a sparge water temp calculator. It does the job.

2024 edit: Though still OK, not updated for a couple of years, and developer no longer responding to contact. So reverting to Brewfather app which is far more up to date and customisable, though more expensive for full version. (Prev:Really surprised at how good this app is. Some English translation glitches, and some background information in Italian; but outweighed by quality, content and usefulness compared with other brewing apps. I'd also support a paid version if it tidied up the English.)

I absolutely love this app. It's easy to use and does the job. Previously, I used the online tool brewtoad before the site was shut down. The transition to Calcoliamo Birra was almost seamless. I've had no problems at all with it. If I could request some additional features, they would be to include a strike water temperature and volume calculator, a decoction calculator, and a hydrometer temperature correction calculator.

This is an excellent application and very versatile, though I've noted a small error. Adding extracts or sugars in the fermenter rather than in the boil gives a very different calculated OG to the same amount of extract or sugars added to the boil. Regardless of this, I find a very useful tool, and have produced various beers exactly as predicted. Thank you, and keep up the good work. Update: Fixed in 3.7.6. This is now everything I need to consistently build good and accurate recipes. Thanks!

Been out of brewing about 15 years after doing it for about 8 years as a hobby. Now the "next generation" wants to learn the skills of homebrew. This app really helped jog the old fart memory and taught a few new tricks. Plus all that damn complicated math from back in the day, now there is a app for that.

Good app for building brew recipes at home or commercially. Could use a few more options on hop additions and mash schedule but otherwise very good all round. I'm having trouble importing recipes from previous device. Would prefer to link app across multiple devices if possible. Can anyone help with either option? Thanks

Fantastic app, does everything you need. The only additional functionality i would enjoy is to be able to copy a previous recipe as a starting point if adjusting something in a modified brew.

Great 10 brews in just have one question for developers. im in the US. Under grain absorbtion and water to grain ratio does it mean qt/lbs because it is shown qt/gal. I understand some of the traslation problems and hope to see them fixed
