Totally hopeless app. Can't register the system with it. Go through the entire process of registering including bar code and all my details then the company is supposed to send me a verification email. Two times now and no verification email. Also unclear if it works offline. Battery also needs wifi connection, which if I use on the phone, I can no longer go online with the phone at the same time. So real time monitoring on the phone isn't possible unless you have a separate WiFi connection for.

Unfortunately up until the recent "maintenance" protocol, which was scheduled for 6 hours, I had no issues with the app. It has now been almost two weeks and the performance of this app is nothing short of abysmal. The people at AlphaESS, are incompetent. The app keeps kicking me off, I cannot reconnect for hours, my data is wrong (overstating the solar generated) and I am now getting numerous system error messages. 10 days and counting for "maintenance" what a joke.

Does the basic job but they need to keep up to speed with a changing energy marketplace. Octopus Energy now give three charging periods but this app only gives two. The discharge options are incomprehensible, and the system doesn't give the ability to discharge to the grid at peak times, which loses me income. Updates tend to only change look and feel of the app rather than meaningful functionality.

This current version running running is useless. It does not show me the incoming kWh or power consumption, neither does it show me the batteries remaining % level which is crucial considering we are 100% off grid and rely heavily on knowing how much power we have to spare when we need to run high output things like ovens. Pls go back to the past style of user information display.

Three days of this app not functioning following update. Couldn't even login for more than a day. Wasted hours trying to fix it. Finally we have a message letting us know it is a fault at Alpha ESS's end. This is not the first such failure but possibly the worst. When it is working it is useful

We cannot log-in into the AphaESS-App after their maintenance window, even if you reinstall the App. It is also not working on my wife's device. We have both Google Pixel smartphones. Log-in from the browser is working, but not from the App.

The limited charge and discharge settings means you have to manually edit the settings several times a week to get the best from the system. If they added 4 charge and discharge settings for each day of the week, you could set up once and better optimize your battery usage and load-shifting.

App is faulty and does not work when setting forced charge times. Keeps clearing the setting and reverting back to factory default. Shame Provides good detail on how the system is functioning.
