It's been over a month, multiple updates & frustrations, and yet today after the latest update of oct 18 I can still not get the wifi connections to work. The only that changed is that I can at least access the app, but going through the steps I keep getting the error 'can't connect to the genie network' whilst it is connected. Tried 5 times but Im done for the day.

The app doesn't work. It keeps saying technical issues with server. I can't set up the genie. I've just bought this and was so excited to set it up. I really don't want to have to take it back. I've also tried to send an email but the email is returned saying that the address is found 🙈 I'm able to open the app now with the update....but I can't finish the set up process. Just keeps saying grant permission. But I have everything on allowed permission. I don't understand.

I am trying to add Genie, but it asks me to grant permission to get the available networks...is not showing the option to grant such permissions. It has v4.0.4 I reinstalled the app, and now it tells me that something went wrong, that you are experiencing technical issues with your servers to try again or come back later. The product is not cheap, honestly, I would have expected a better experience with the app.

Can't setup my new Genie device. WiFi scan error: Permission required. Tried to download the the old app (v2.6.0) Can't activate the diffuser, no mention of why. So old APP: Can't activate. New APP: Can't get WiFi scan. So yeah.. Save yourself the annoyances and just buy the other stuff instead of wasting time, energy and money on this device/app struggle. Standalone use ONLY!

After granting permissions it fails to show networks although everything is set-up correctly. Unable to configure via android. After doing this process on an Iphone it worked at once, seems like a bug with android. After having installed the Genie, unable to open te new app on ALL my android phones. After starting the app the screen just stays black, tried on iphone, worked instantly. After this tried adding it to google home, does not work at all. The entire device is useless this way.

Awful! Keeps asking me to allow permissions even though all permissions have been granted. Just repeats this loop. Therefore, I am unable to connect to the app. Since the update, I only get a blank screen when opening the app. Can not use the genie as intended as the app does not work. Customer support is awful and only offered a cartridge, which I have still not received, and told to use it manually! Would give it 0 stars if possible! Do not buy as app does not work!

I have had this for almost two years. The outcome has always been the same. Connectivity is not possible. I imagine this issue would have been resolved or Ritual recall this product from customers and give a better product that works assuming this problem is hardware related. As it stands, customers make a purchase that doesn't actually do what it was meant to do. Can rituals do a recall and at least refund the cost of equipment to customers?

DO NOT BUY PLEASE...Well after trying to reach out to support I have never been so disappointed. I hav e bought a lot of ritual down through the years but never again. App connects to the genie then won't find networks and says I'm not connected to the genie even though it says connection successfull. This issue is going on months and absolutely no satisfaction from ritual.DO NOT BUY PLEASE
