Lingo has constructed an excellent app for introducing a person to many different languages!! While not in depth enough to help one master a language, it does a fantastic job of opening the door to real mastery of the language!! You can learn all the basics with Lingo and then you are set to master the language at school!!!

It's a great app. The way the languages are taught isn't random, which means I learn certain forms to certain words. It's good to see the way it's provided is in chapters, with only a few words each time. Yet, it's a shame you charge for this. I don't want to pay 40 bucks a year to learn a language I can learn for free. Two stars down from the perfect app.

Really good methods of teaching, however the speaking section needs a lot of improvement, it shows me that I've made mistakes in pronunciation while I pronounce Latvian words very accurately. You really need to look into it. Sometimes it doesn't absorb completely what I'm saying and catches only a part of the phrase while I'm speaking.

I had to wait about a week to start learning because the tutorial screen was a whiteout. Huge problem is that if you don't log out on a device and try to continue on another, all your progress is lost! Please fix this! Speaking exercise often randomly didn't hear me at all after hearing me fine. The native audio is very clear, easy to listen to, however it would be better if there was a brief break after each sentence to allow the learner to repeat it out loud without having to stop the sequence every time. I would also prefer if repeating lessons wasn't entirely up to the learner's deliberation, but built in.

I don't think this app would work for a beginner but since I'm not one I like it well enough. Although someone really should look over the Latvian version because there's a few mistakes here and there. A couple of suggestions: • Make errors easier to report, I really don't want to write an email about something like this. • Make the navigation bar smaller (the beginner to advanced one), it feels like the activities are squashed. :)

Not really suitable for beginners. Latvian has a lot of compound words that would be best broken down if the app were to accommodate newer learners. There are some mistakes in the translations. For people that know at least some Latvian, I see no "placement quiz" that can assess your skill so you don't waste time on stuff you know but also don't MISS vocabulary you need to review. Conversations are very formal - this is not always applicable when learning to speak with new friends and family.

The original version was good. As a complete beginner I think it's a great start Unfortunately, the update has a problem where the audio says the word at probably 5x normal speed. It means that all audio is indecipherable. I'm hoping you can fix this soon.

Simya Solutions never disappoints. Its a wonderful app. I used the company's other language apps and I always have a wonderful time using it. I appreciate the company helping people learn languages (that which most language apps don't have) like Serbian and Latvian. Its useful and fun with its courses. I had no problem using the app! For people wanting to learn Latvian; I would recommended it. 5 out of 5 stars.
