Used to work but after an update in June or so it has not been useful for running since a few seconds after my screen on my phone sleeps the video stops. It is not an issue with my phone since I first checked with that company. I then tried resolving the issue with obe customer service for months but they seemed to assume that I was having casting problems, which was not the issue. Now they have just stopped responding all together to any emails. It is very disappointing.

Got the trial to be sure I could make it cast to my TV, since that's the only way I wish to view the workouts (not on a tiny phone screen) and every single video has the cast icon "greyed out" and unaccessible. Contacted support & was given a "canned" response to check the FAQs for instructions for Chromecast. Chromecast won't work, when the ability to cast is disabled. Is this just for the trial? Why give a trial if I can't try it? I wouldn't trust that it would be different after a trial.

Update: they are no longer offering live stream classes which is the reason I subscribed to obé :(. I really like Obé! The live classes are great and really help me stick to a schedule. Waking up and joining a class first thing in the morning has been honestly a game changer. I do wish there were more classes available in the early afternoon though. Giving it 4 stars because the app is a little buggy and sometimes struggles to cast to my TV but it works like 4/5 times.

I think there is malware in this app. Beware before installing. About 4 times now, I will start a workout video and random music not associated with the class will start playing in the background of my phone. I can close all my apps, lock my phone, turn off wifi and blue tooth, and the only thing that gets it to stop is a restart. I got a brand new phone 2 days ago and my first time watching a video from obe on here it did it again! This time closing the app worked. I am 100% Sure it's this app

Great workouts, great model, terrible app. I love the instructors. I love the model of live streamed classes. I love all the variety. I love how high quality everything is. BUT the app is TERRIBLE! It crashes constantly and must be uninstalled and reinstalled. This is a huge pain because the point of obe is that you can squeeze in a set when you're short on time. Reinstalling takes extra time I hadn't planned on. They do have a browser interface, but most of the content is driven through the app

Workouts fun, Chromecasting stinks. Crashes my Chromecast (forces it to reboot) 75% of the time (will eventually play after multiple retries), sound doesn't cast sometimes, app will get into some state where the episode is playing two copies at the same time on the phone, app will crash when starting a workout and when I go back in I have to search for the workout again. Wish there was a Roku app.

I can only use the app on my phone screen. It crashes when I try to cast to my TV. I tried clearing the cache on both Google play store and the obe app to no avail. I even restarted my phone, cleared cache and storage, logged back in. Still crashes immediately when I cast. Obe is great, but my experience with the app so far is frustrating and disappointing. Updating 2/7/22: still crashes when I cast to my TV. Frustrating.

I agree with another review: love Obe, hate the Android app. I suspect they put more effort into their iPhone app. It takes MINUTES to load the front page and more minutes to navigate to another tab. Unacceptable. I've reached out directly to them about several issues, and while they're responsive, they're not really investing the energy it takes to make this app actually useful. I'll be cancelling the service once my subscription is up.
