I only give one star because no stars are not an opption. Ok, so, this app is a good idea. However, the execution is terrible. It updates FOREVER every time I open it. Then, I tried to get regulations for the Columbia River and the app crashes. Of course, I should have known that the same people who bring you the efficiency of the DMV can't get an app right. Can you please try to fix it.

using a pixel 2xl, latest version of Android. keeps crashing upon opening the app. initally the app is able to open upon installation. it downloaded a ton of files on my phone. but on subsequent tries (even when I was sure everything finished downloading), I see a "your device is currently downloading the initial data" blurb and gray screen, and then the app crashes.

With as much as we have to spend on licenses you would think they could pay the money to have a decent app programmer to upkeep this app to where we don't have to uninstall and reinstall several times to get it to work, especially during salmon season. The most useful time to have an app that can keep up on the constant rule changes. Truly disappointed.

Before the latest upda, you could search for a particular river or section of river. When you did that it would zoom into the area on the map and give you the regulations (usually up-to-date) for that area. Now if you search for a river or section of rive#r, then click on it in the drop down menu, only a few rivers will zoom into that area on the map and show the regulations. Most searches don't do anything and clear the search bar making the app basically useless.

Updated to 4 stars.....did as requested and removed the app and reinstalled. Works well again. Wish the new packets that download were managed by the app and didnt go into my download folder for me to delete at a later date though. After today's update 2/9/2019, it doesnt load properly. Location works....cant tap on bodies of water to get rules. Verizon Pixel 3.......

It works for a few seconds then it tells you to download the rules and regs well I've literally downloaded it at least 50 times tried restarting the phone and closing and still wants to download the regs.....again.... 2 years later came back to see if this thing works and... (drum roll) ... No it does not it infinitely "updates" I gave up after 20minutes good to see where my tax dollars are goingo let me save you guys a few steps and just flush it down the toilet

WDFW has once again failed. I spend time hunting and fishing in South Dakota where they have an app that is similar. The only difference is it actually works. it takes way too long for the maps to load on the wdfw version. Once they load it's not intuitive and difficult to find the information you need unless all you need is boat launch information. So basically "useless" is the word I would like you to absorb from my review.

App is functionally useless. Updates for five minutes across high speed internet everytime you open it, and if you don't feel like watching the progress bar slowly creep along and switch tabs it starts all over instead of updating its database in the background. I can't imagine trying to use it without wifi (in the field) acting like that. Quicker just to bookmark WDFW and go there over internet. Ridiculous.
