I am a manual tester, and I found a few bugs in both the live and beta applications. Whenever I open the app, emails start to sync slowly. Email notifications are not received on time, and the notification sound needs to be changed. If the issues mentioned above are fixed, it would greatly benefit the users.

Switched from Yahoo mail to Thunderbird because of the app size. For such a smooth user experience its amazing how the developers packed so much features with very little code on the user's side. Not only does it leave my RAM free when I'm gaming but it has also all my favourite most used features. The option to select how many emails to show is awesome 😎

Seems pretty good so far - LOVE being able to mark as read right from my notifications. One thing that I'd like to see is the option to thread/consolidate emails that share a title and sender? My work email funnels in sends made to me and also to our joint business email, which means a fair amount of emails show up in thunderbird as a double send that get "smart" consolidated/threaded in gmail. Implementing the above option would be really useful for my inbox and notifications!

As mentioned won't port k-9 settings, but it auto-recognized the right configuration. Really easy. Only using for a few days, the big issue for me is visual. It's hard to see the difference between read and unread messages. Not enough contrast or difference. K-9 used line shading, easy to see. Sort of annoying to be wondering if I read a note or not. Also when reading an individual message, I need larger font. Sometimes the message won't render right. Can't recall that happening with k9.

I want to use this so so bad but it just can't do what I need it to yet. I "enabled" push notification (yes there is an option but it's buried currently), but it's grossly inconsistent for when the notification will come through, anywhere from instantly to 10+ minutes. And even though I have it set to download images automatically, not all images download and there is no way to download the ones that didn't. It's still early so I'm hoping these can improve, but these are a big obstacle.

While you can tell its a beta, I've not had any issues aside from navigating the settings panels. Some items don't seem to be in the most intuitive areas and I'm currently struggling to find a place to edit the starting options such as how often to refresh the accounts. But other than that, it's been smooth sailing, literally, the animations are good (a bit drawn out, I'd like an animation scale slider) the notifications are collapsed, while including all emails in the refresh (good thing)

I switched to this from Samsung Mail, and while this definitely feels like a beta because it runs pretty slow, freezing, and laggy on my S24 Ultra with 20,000+ emails. This is highly customizable in a way Samsung Mail wasn't and should have been, even though it's slower. In terms of organizing, it's better. Sadly I found that it often doesn't retrieve new emails if I don't do it manually. All of these can be resolved in time though and I will update once it's no longer in beta.

I want to thank the Thunderbird Beta team for the amazing transition from K-9 Mail to Thunderbird for Android. The intuitive interface and the management of multiple accounts are truly remarkable. However, I've noticed that new email notifications do not arrive in real time, which makes me open the app to refresh and see the messages. I would love for this to be improved in future updates. I really appreciate your dedication and effort, and I would be happy to hear your thoughts on this matter.
