I love Chiptunes and mod music. I've been listening to this kind of music since the mid 80's. This app is great way to do this on my phone. I've been using the app for a while and I have experienced zero issues with it. I should have posted this review a long time ago. Highly recommend this app if you're a fan of (retro) video game style music.

App seems to be working again. Anything I had saved the last couple of days is gone and what was loaded in the currently playing section was what I was listing to a week ago... But it works again. No idea what happened. Playlist tracks didn't play until I played anything else first, and then my playlist tracks started loading.

Love it, love it, love it! Plays my beloved Atari 8bit computer POKEY chiptunes and much more! From a member of the demoscene comes a free player for all types of digital music, including obscure file formats created for & by different computers & consoles & tracker formats from the '80s and since. Very impressive collection! ZXTune can also access online repositories of music in various formats & create ringtones & sounds from them! Many configuration options exist. 😀

Awesome app for my retrospective nostalgia for all kinds of retro music. This is the best chiptune player of all time. It's still not saving the sound control settings, keeps resetting every time I change tracks

09/30 Edit: In my original review, I mentioned that saving and loading Playlists is not entirely intuitive. It's a somewhat clunky step-by-step progress at present, and loading Playlists also rescans all the files. While this remains true, the author IS WORKING ON IT, which I appreciate! That aside, this is a darn good little player for most module formats (except FST) and several chiptune formats (ZX Spectrum, C64, et cetera.) It has options for cover art, too! Simple, but very sweet.

Absolutely the top app for playing retro music!!! I'm thrilled! I just need it to work in Android auto as well. I would gladly pay extra.

Would you consider a slider in addition to the mute button ? A mute for noise register changes? In the settings, you have 3 outs, each with a left/right balance. Call them left, middle, right. You can reassign which of the chip channels, ABC, go to which out, L/M/R. I am suggesting one page of gui for all this would be more fun and functional. I wasn't suggesting u render 3 waveforms, I thought a visual representation for data 'in' per channel might be more interesting, and easier to render.

Not sure why, but there is no sound when play any SID tracks from the HVSC collection. Both from my own Folder or the Catalogue. Am I missing a setting? Amiga Mods etc are fine.
