Great app, super fast and easy! Android's file system makes this otherwise simple app a little weird to set up, but it still only took five minutes to do once I figured out where the files lived. Now I don't even need to open the app; just share the photo to the app and legit one second later, it's saved to the folder I specified when setting it up. In today's world of doxxing, this is a really necessary functionality.

I'm having a hard time editing my review for some reason since you responded. I too, am a developer, and would love nothing more than to rate your app well. I did indeed check the correct directory, which by default seems to be a subdirectory underneath my pictures directory. I just tried again a number of times, with a number of different photos, each with the same results. If you have any suggestions you would like me to try, I'm more than happy to help in that fashion. Best regards.

Ive spent an hour trying a few other apps and websites, all of whom purport to specialize in the removal of exif metadata. None of them worked for me, at least not on my android. Then, I saw this one had high ratings and lots of previous downloads, so I gave it a shot. Nothing is as quick and easy as this one is at removing exif metadata. It lets you choose to delete exif metadata from the original or create a copy and drops it into a designated folder of your choosing. No learning curve. Bravo!

This is not a complicated or sophisticated operation for a noob first year code monkey. There are not an unlimited number of camera softwares out there. The relevant EXIF data that people really care about removing has preset names. It should not take on the order of several seconds to edit a couple bytes in a file. This takes a dubious amount of time to perform. A curiously dubious amount of time. More than one star for actually doing the thing it claims to on the tin. That's about it.

False positives on removal in every instance. I ran single files and batch folders. Followed up with the very same files in ExifPro (no I'm not affiliated, just downloaded it) and it found all the relevant data still there 100%. I was able to delete with exif and it tells you if there and errors or unsuccess and actually displays the data points in detail...or lack thereof. Uninstalling this.

Works well for me. I'm fine with it making a copy of the original photo. Just set the output location to the location where your camera usually saves photos, and Google Photos will pick up on it instantly. I guess the only downside is it can affect time/date metadata.

Upate less than one month after stellar review for flawless performance: Photo Metadata Remover now repeatedly crashes, and stopped working. So disappointing, c'est la vie. Why does everything good become sucky garbage!? Uninstalling. (Was: Works simply, quickly and flawlessly so far. I've used it for over a month now, to remove metadata from individual image files with it set to make copy in another folder, and Photo Metadata Remover just works. The ads are not overbearing or unusual.)

Very useful and easy to use but like someone else said in their review definitely be careful to pick the correct folder to export/save your photos in from the app or you'll be frustrated when you can't find them lol :)
