can't add a profile pic - clicking "choose from library" does nothing. a small nitpick but since i can see my barista's face, i feel like it'd be nice to add mine 😂 the coffee is good & the app otherwise works fine, though it does seem rather minimalist in features/functions. ordering & payment process have not given me any issues yet. will update to 5 if profile pic issue is fixed, will downgrade to 3 if app starts bugging out lol

Looks beautiful, but it's a bit slow and clunky. Also it crashed on me initially. A better UX design would keep in mind that users are forced to use this app since the store won't allow in person transactions. This means users will already be frustrated and not have the patience to download the app, sign up, and figure out how to order their drink. Like I said, the app looks great, but if I'm in a rush and already frustrated, a simpler, quicker menu would make my experience less frustrating.

Very straight forward. I like the design and how you navigate to change specifics of your drink. The only thing that I saw as a potential issue is the visibility of unavailable items. The difference in tone or color was really slight, making the distinction hard. Otherwise Im glad I can order directly through Philz instead of a 3rd party app.

The app frequently fails to open or gets stuck on the open screen. Like at least 1/3 of the time. Sometimes I can close it and reopen, but sometimes it just won't work at all. Today it just won't load at all, even with uninstalling and reinstalling. I never know if I'm actually going to be able to order or not, or if I'm going to have to change plans and order in-store (which obviously takes a lot of time because the drinks take a while to make). When the app is actually working, it's really convenient. But it doesn't reliably work.

Really like Philz Coffee. This review reflects my experience with the app and not the store or brand. Navigation is unintuitive. They've departed from a lot of the traditional UX language and paradigms, so navigation requires a lot of trial and error. App used to have random signouts, but this has improved. Notifications are still a little buggy, with 'last visit review' appearing over the order pickup card. The app also adds two icons to the app drawer, which is a little irksome.

This app no longer opens. I received a notification for a drink to order, so I went to open the app to check the options for the drink and found the green android robot displayed on the screen and remains there. I have had this same thing occur on 3 different phones. I have cleared the app cache and data, forced the app to stop, uninstalled then reinstalled the app, used different networks. But the app does not work. It continues to open to the green android robot and stays there.

The app is great, but I don't understand why the earliest pickup time is always 30 minutes out regardless of how busy or quiet the store is. I've placed orders, then drove for 15 minutes, only to find out the store hasn't started the order yet because pickup is still 15 minutes away. I'd understand if the store was busy and that was the earliest availability, but it's definitely not.

Disclaimer: Love the product. However, the app is garbage. Clunky, terrible ux/ui. Throw it away and get any cx undergrad or high schooler who can build you something more comparable to the product itself! Doei!
