Important: SBB Preview is the preview version of the SBB Mobile app. We are using SBB Preview to test new and innovative functions and features which we want to include in the SBB Mobile app in future. The basic functions for timetable enquiries – and for ticket purchases – for journeys anywhere in Switzerland are the same in SBB Preview as in SBB Mobile. We’ve kept the Preview app in grey to make it easier to distinguish.
The heart of the app is the new navigation bar with the following menu points and contents:
Plan:
• Plan your journey with a simple timetable request via the touch timetable or use your current position as the origin or destination, locating it on the map.
• Buy your ticket for the whole of Switzerland in just two clicks. Your travelcards on your SwissPass are applied.
• Travel particularly affordably with supersaver tickets or Saver Day Passes.
Trips:
• When purchasing tickets, your journey will be saved in the ‘Journeys’ tab.
• Even if you don’t buy a ticket, you can save your journey manually in the timetable.
• The app accompanies you from door to door as you travel and you will receive information about delays, disruption and interchange times via push notification.
EasyRide:
• Check in, get on and set off – across the entire GA Travelcard network.
• EasyRide calculates the right ticket for your journey on the basis of the routes you travelled on and charges you the relevant amount subsequently.
Tickets and travelcards:
• Show your public transport travelcards digitally with SwissPass Mobile.
• It also gives you an overview of your valid and expired tickets and travelcards on the SwissPass.
Profile:
• Straightforward access to your personal settings and our customer support.

Why does SBB Preview need permissions?
Location:
For connections starting from a current location, the GPS function has to be activated so that SBB Preview can find the nearest stop. This also applies if you want to have the nearest stop displayed in the timetable.
Calendar and e-mail:
You can save connections in your own calendar and send them by e-mail (to friends, an external calendar). SBB Preview requires read and write permissions to be able to import your desired connection into the calendar.
Access to the camera:
To take photos straight in SBB Preview for the personalised touch timetable, the app needs access to the camera. You will be asked for permission.
Internet access:
SBB Preview needs internet access for timetable informations and ticket purchase options.
Memory:
To support offline functions such as the list of stops, connections (history) and ticket purchase, SBB Preview needs access to your device’s memory (save app-specific settings).

As a night customer of the AG, It would be beneficial if the app did not prompt users to pay for train rides after 7 p.m. Alternatively, it could calculate the portion of the ride that falls before 7 p.m. and provide the corresponding fare. I am unsure if this is an issue with the app itself, but aside from this, the app functions adequately.

Great app, but the most recent update keeps showing me the cookie panel. No matter if I accept or decline, it pops up again at every start.

First launch: privacy policy mentions ads. Off to a good start. I already pay for the service. I'm a customer, not the product. Accept or "Manage settings" that conveniently leads to a "Loading error" page and a button to manage later. Is this even nLPD/GDPR-compliant to make the user force accept abusive privacy policy? Oh and how about you update the data sharing to third-party disclamer on google store to reflect your privacy policy? EDIT: please stop it with that kind of generic corpospeach

Awesome! As suggested, I deleted my recurring trips and added it back. This seemed to solve the problem with the delayed notification. Thanks! Would be great to add a search history. As well as some color coding in the search result list. e.g.:connections with a play area have slightly different color than without play area

works well. But I still miss the rather basic ability to remember my latest journey when I need to show my swisspass. Either by swisspass in a popup window that can be closed, or to "remember last journey" Saved connections are an improvement, but for me a Swisspass popup would still be the be the solution by far. When you close it you return to were before.

Awesome developper team ! Thanks to you all :) Feature suggestion: having an option to keep a notification featuring current trip status (with timeline, delays, track numbers, share ETA...) that would be SO useful, and it'll make people save their trips instead of going back to look at the timetable to know what's up with their train. ♥️

Was excellent, now bad! The Nov 2020 update removed all my custom tiles with pictures in the touch timetable, and replaced them with tiles for other places!! And it doesn't seem possible to move or resize the tiles the app decided to put on that screen! And I guess there is no way to go back to the previous version, and no way to get my custom configuration back.

EasyRide is great, but: * Spends a lot of battery in the background, so keeping it active for the whole day isn't possible. * Once battery is low and the saver is on, EasyRide silently shuts down, even mid-ride. * EasyRide doesn't allow to access the QR code for the prior rides, so accessing them in case the app suddenly shut down isn't an option, potentially leading to fines :(
