Update to 6-1-2020..there are ads but not really disruptive. Only see them when trying to exit & very easy to get rid of. The only issue I've really had when the flashing light (strobe like?) showed up. Finally figured out how to turn it back to solid light. It works well for a light that I mostly have with me. My eyesight isn't great so it helps me see things that are hard to access. & I can take a picture if needed. Maybe not necessary for everyone but it is used nearly every day by myself.

I have used this app for many years. It is quick to come on when you touch the button and lights up a wide area very bright You can set it to flash on and off at different speeds and also have your phone screen to be lit up in a coloured light choosing your own spectrum colour, or just white. I like this setting as have indoor birds, and use this often as the screen light is more subtle. This light has been great and stays on for as long as its needed. Thanks ;)

UPDATE 11/15/2020: Downgraded from 4 to 2 stars Free is great, but when one of the new MEGA LOUD ADS WENT OFF and woke up my girlfriend while i was looking for something in the bedroom, I may go elsewhere. Bummer, had a good run, maybe the developer will fix it next time around. Original: Really solid flash light app! Been using it for almost 4(?) years. Might be me but seems like ads are getting more intrusive. Hiccups occasionally, but still the best I've used.

As always some things work fine the way they are. Ive been using this very same flashlight app for many years now and was happy with it the way it was the first time I downloaded it. Unfortunately nowadays we are FORCED to update apps and it seems at some point some jerbrained developer decided to automatically power on the LED at launch. Not very convenient when youre trying to be discreet or not disturb someone or maybe not wreck your night vision. When something works just leave it alone.

Very bright and blinding if you're not careful and I use it everyday very useful...... when it's pitch dark and I use a flashlight to go into the living room to turn a light on the stupid pop-up ads light up in my face and then I can't even see because I'm blinded from the stupid pop-up ads when I'm trying to see where I'm going so I don't trip over the coffee table

I've been using this app for 7+ years honestly. Never had an issue with it. Flash light instantly turns ON when you click the app (can configure it) also great color option for night reading for example. Great features to not damage your flash included also. The necessary free best app that every smarphone should have.
