Machine, S8, is great, app is pretty much useless. The usability and design are not intuitive whatsoever. Unclear how to customize and use on a regular basis. I gave up using the app altogether since I wasted so much time trying to learn how to do such basic functions. There is great opportunity for Jura to hit it out of the park with this app. For the money we all have spent on these machines, they have should have the best UX. Don't buy they machine based on whether it has an app or not.
A Google user
Works fine with my Pixel XL 2 v10, Jura S8. However, minus one star since it requires location services, and minus one star because product settings in the app and product settings in the Jura S8 do not match. I thought that the app would read the product settings in the S8 and when you make adjustments in the app, or the S8, they always sync and are the same. Sent a message to Jura support to see if there's a way to sync them and ensure both the same, will update if I discover this is possible.

I have the exact same issue as another person regarding the new Z10. The machine will connect to my wifi, however it refuses to display the machine on my devices. I've tried Android, iOS, doesn't matter. I've restarted, factory reset, given all privileges, cleared cache, tried different wifi networks, channels, bands. You name it and I've tried. There is a serious bug on the Z10 models. For $4300 this should work perfectly! Unless this is fixed with a firmware update asap I'll be returning.

Horrible experience. The app just doesn't find the coffee maker (Z10). After days of trying, I managed to get the coffee maker on my wifi (I can ping it on the network) but the app doesn't connect to it (neither Android nor iOS). The error messages are completely useless and there's no information online to trouble shoot the network, or do manual connection. Absolutely discouraging. I paid thousands of dollars for this coffee maker, and one of its big features is entirely unusable.

2nd review - Connectivity was solved when Jura sent me a new WiFi Connect device for my Z10. Now we can specifically evaluate the App functionality. The App is a very basic extension of the Z10 menu interface. It does only minor menu modifications. But it does have a nifty stats module that shows the historical use of the machine. I still can't find some of the special menus boasted by J.O.E. like water temperature menus.

Updated to new app today. Is not intuitive and difficult to use. On opening app was asked to tap upper right icon. Did nothing, found connect to machine function buried in app. Connected, when I went to order drink and modify, it would synch data and l would start over. Finally able to order drink and went modify drink, I could not save. Still cant order drink via app. Went to change size from ml to oz. I could not save setting. Very very poor app that induces frustrating user experience.

It works now :) I was pretty upset when I got the Z10(Xmas 22). The app would have received a negative score...I gave up. I just tried again, it did a Firmware update, and now it's fine. Connecting it could not be easier. The only thing I would ask now, that it does not do, is that it copy my settings from the machine into the app, as of right now, it's a separate thing...so you have to copy down what you have set in the machine, so you can program it into the app. Thanks for fixing this Jura!

If I could give this app zero stars I would. I have been patiently waiting for a fix but still cannot attach from my phone to our Giga 6. I tried after the update in July, didn't work. I tried after the August update, it still doesn't work. Every wifi enabled device in our home connects with zero issue but not this incredibly expensive coffee machine! I have removed the app, reinstalled it a number of times. Removed the dongal in the back and reinstalled it (multiple times). So frustrating.
