Marko-D es una prueba estandarizada que permite evaluar las habilidades matemáticas iniciales. Fue diseñada en Alemania, pero un equipo de CEDETI UC realizó la adaptación y estandarización para la población chilena. Cuenta con propiedades diagnósticas comprobadas que permiten a los usuarios identificar el nivel de desarrollo de habilidades matemáticas, ya sea para hacer un diagnóstico general del curso, o para detectar la presencia de dificultades de aprendizaje y realizar planes de nivelación personalizados. Una característica fundamental de esta prueba es que permite ubicar a los estudiantes en un nivel de desarrollo de logros aritméticos específico. Estos niveles se basan en un modelo teórico del desarrollo de conceptos numéricos propuesto por Fritz, Ehlert & Balzer (2013).
