Unfortunately, the app has just limited communication with the device. It has its own algorithm to decide when to autostart the measurement on flow. The autostart detection of the scale is reliable, but that of the app is not, and often messes up the brewing profile. Also, the app has no autostop. Why is the autostart/autostop information not received from the scale? If it works, seeing the brewing profile is nice, but overall, it is more frustrating than useful.

Two times now i haven't been able to connect this Android app to my Acacia Pearl without going into the scale settings and confirming the Bluetooth on setting –which it already was set at. Using the app, couldn’t manually start the timer without going to the scale settings to confirm manual—this despite there being two options on the app. The flow rate—in tiny font—jumped all over the place while pouring, and there was a disconcerting mess of blue bars on the right. No visible way of setting the

I actually like this pp. I think it's the best of the Acaia apps (although that's it saying a lot). What bugs me... And it bugs me 2 stars worth, is that I can select the temperature units, but not the weight units. My scale is in grams, the converter calculates in grams, but my brewprints are in ounces. It makes the brewprints basically useless to me. This is the problem with all their apps, besides having random apps to open, they only kind of work, and some don't work at all.

This app is Garbage. The latest update a few days ago said it fixed connectivity issue but it introduced a whole new issue. When recording a brew I see 0.000 instead of the normal 0.0 and it says it's in grams but then ends up being ounces on the recording with no way to switch it. This app has been garbage for a while it seems. For such an expensive scale promising these features it should work. I think it's time Acaia fires it's app developers and finds new ones. SUPER DISAPPOINTED!

This app needs a lot of work. It is not user friendly and doesn't look nice. But the worst thing is: it doesn't connect to the scale automatically, eventhough the auto connect feature is switched on. Having to go through the menu to connect the scale every time makes it too much of a burden to use.

The auto connect has never worked. The auto start was great until it just stopped working. Now either the timer doesn't start, or the weight doesn't display on the scale, or the weight doesn't register in the app. Acacia needs to fire their CTO, anyone with any experience in tech can tell an app for each feature is an awful idea, it's like they read a blog post on how microserviews were great for speeding up development and for some reason though mobile apps were services.

Installed because I heard good things about this. Won't connect with my scale even if I close out other Acaia apps. Figured I might need to create an account but I can't even do that, it just says it can't sign in due to a connection error. For the price of these scales and the "smart" features, they really need to invest in a good QC team because that's 3/3 apps I've had a terrible experience with so far. Don't ever connect to a Bluetooth kettle without one, it just hangs forever unless you FC

Was OK until I got a Pixel 4a. For whatever reason the phone can find the scale via the Bluetooth settings but the App can't find the scale at all. I followed the instructions posted on this matter but it doesn't help. There was a disclaimer that the Pixel 4 was struggling with connections but with the 4a it seems different. Phone finds the scale, but app doesnt.
